Gabrielle tried to lighten the mood, but Mavis's mood had already improved.
Sheena was right. Life was too short, and she should not hesitate if she wanted to see him.
"Gabrielle," Mavis suddenly interrupted, her expression serious. "I want to go find him. What do you think?"
Gabrielle was stunned, but she quickly caught on to what Mavis meant.
Her expression turned excited, and she nodded enthusiastically.
"You want to go to Gurenchti? You have my full support! Do you need me to book a flight? I can get you on the earliest one."
Gabrielle's strong reaction gave Mavis more confidence.
Yes, she would find him!
"No need, Gabrielle. But I need you to keep this a secret."
Gabrielle smiled knowingly and promised, "Don't worry, I won't say a word. When you see Nate, give him a good scolding from me."
They returned to the Nicholls residence in high spirits, and Mavis began packing her things.
At 9 p.m., which was 11 a.m. in Gurenchti, Mavis called Tommy.
It rang for a long time before he finally answered.
"Mrs. Nicholls, what's the matter?"
Tommy's voice was hushed, and Mavis felt a bit nervous.
"Can you tell me where you are? I want to come find him."
Hearing this, Tommy quickly moved to a more private spot, surprised.
"Mrs. Nicholls, are you serious?"
Nathaniel was busy negotiating with the local gang, and even if Mavis came, he might not have time to see her.
"Is it inconvenient?" Mavis asked.
Tommy glanced at the window.
Soon, they arrived at the location Sheena had mentioned, where a large plane was already waiting.
Sheena, Elliot, and their twins were also there.
Adora saw Mavis and ran over, and Mavis scooped her up.
"Mae! I haven't seen you in so long. What have you been up to? You never come to see me."
Mavis playfully tapped Adora's nose. "I've been busy with work, Adora. I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you and spend more time with you soon."
"Okay!" Adora replied, then kissed Mavis on the cheek.
Sheena and Elliot walked over, side by side.
Sheena teased, "Adora, Mae is your godmother now. You should call her Auntie Mae."
"My godmother? Auntie Mae?"
Adora looked puzzled for a moment, but then she smiled sweetly and said, "Auntie Mae!"
