Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1572

After calming himself down slightly, Elliot finally realized Sheena's words and raised her head to look at her.

Their eyes met.

Sheena smiled tenderly, her eyes filled with love.

Elliot frowned and asked, "W-What did you just call me? Why didn't you call me Mr. Jenkins? Do you remember everything about this incident?"

Sheena nodded.

"You didn't lose your memory?"

Sheena nodded again.

"So, what about the diagnosis from the hospital?"

She giggled and replied, "Are you forgetting about Noah? He practically owns most of the hospitals in Svelton, and Dr. Tristan, the neurologist, used to be Noah's apprentice."

She could easily persuade Tristan to alter the diagnosis.

Elliot's frown deepened, suspiciously staring at her without saying a word.

She explained, "I didn't intend to deceive you. Hospitals are a breeding ground for gossip. I wanted them to believe that I had truly lost my memory to lower their guard, making it easier to help you catch the mastermind."

Initially, she had intended to continue the act, but seeing how hurt Elliot was, she could not bear it and decided to tell the truth.

Surprisingly, Elliot was quite pleased with the revelation that Sheena had not lost her memory and indeed remembered him.

"So, you remember how the incident happened ten days ago?"

Sheena nodded and began recounting, "I was about to pick up Adora from kindergarten when I ran into one of Noah's former patients on the road, the one I mentioned to you before, Priscilla Burton. Do you remember her?"

"I do."

Elliot listened in horror. "So, that's what happened."

He took out his phone and called Lance, who was still searching in the mountains.

"Go to the cabin on the mountain for a search, especially the two bedrooms in the back. Pry open the floor tiles for inspection. Also, see if there are any photos of Mrs. Snyder and her relatives in the house. Don't overlook any suspicious evidence. Take photos of everything and bring it back to the National Investigation Bureau for me."

After giving the orders, he hung up the phone and continued to rest his head on Sheena's lap like a lazy, yet dignified cat.

"So, you didn't choose Nathaniel because you didn't actually lose your memory."

Sheena ran her fingertips along the back of his neck, lightly laughing.

"Nathaniel came too quickly. Besides, he's only active in the business world now. Yet, he found me first before you couldn't even locate me. There must be something fishy going on. I suspected whether he might be working with them and tested him a few times."

"And what's the result?"
