Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1571

Sheena hid the slight smile at the corner of her mouth and gestured toward the washboard on the floor.

"Is this for me to kneel on?"

"No."

Elliot swiftly removed his dark gray coat and tossed it behind him onto the coat rack in the corner.

His crisp white shirt hugged his waist perfectly, accentuating his flawless figure.

Without hesitation, he placed the ruler in Sheena's hand and knelt steadily on the washboard.

His brows furrowed momentarily but soon relaxed as he gazed up at Sheena.

"It's me who kneels to you."

There was no other living person he would kneel to besides Sheena.

Sheena was taken aback by his decisiveness.

She pulled him up, saying, "What's with the sudden gesture? This is unnecessary. Aren't your knees in pain? Get up."

Elliot shook his head, his long lashes veiling the remorse in his eyes.

"I made a mistake."

"What mistake?"

"I shouldn't have lost you. I shouldn't have intentionally provoked you by smoking…"

Sheena sighed.

The incident was not his fault, and she had already punished him for smoking.

As she was thinking, she felt a sudden tightness around her calf.

She lowered her gaze to find Elliot's arm wrapped around her leg, resting his head on her thigh.

Only in her presence would he show his sensitive side, his broad shoulders trembling slightly.

Sheena's eyes reddened in response, her lips parting several times as if wanting to speak but hesitating.

After some internal struggle, she patted Elliot's back to comfort him and chose to speak the truth.

"Elliot, you're not a saint. There are always things we overlook. You're not at fault this time. Don't put too much pressure on yourself."

"C-Can I hug your waist?" Elliot tentatively asked, still feeling down.

He had yet to process the change in the way Sheena addressed him.

Sheena felt helpless. "Of course."

Elliot released her leg and shifted his upper body slightly, his knees still firmly planted on the washboard.

Then, he securely encircled her waist as he lightly took in her familiar scent.
