Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1540

Elliot kept repeating in his mind that this was not Sheena.

If it were Sheena, she would be more assertive, not scolding him in a playful tone.

Moreover, if Sheena caught him smoking, she would be furious, and there would be consequences at home, maybe even the dreaded kneeling on the washboard.

This woman knew about the smoking but did not know about their private rules as it was a secret between him and Sheena.

Elliot steadied himself, suppressing the flood of emotions.

Then, he picked up his jacket from the chair and responded coolly, "Alright, I won't smoke."

"Let's go, it's time to leave."

He walked out of the smoking room first.

'Sheena' hurried to catch up, trying to grab his arm.

"Honey, wait for me."

Yet, Elliot walked briskly, not slowing down for her.

She could not even touch the edge of his shirt, trailing behind him.

They reached the hospital's underground parking lot, where Lance was waiting by the luxury car, smiling and bowing to them.

'Sheena' initially ignored him, considering him just a subordinate.

However, he quickly remembered her manners and smiled in return.

To her surprise, Lance was there to claim the front seat.

"Mrs. Jenkins, I'm sorry, but Mr. Jenkins and I have a task later. When he drives, I usually sit in the front seat."

He was implying she should sit in the back.

'Sheena' felt awkward and looked to Elliot for help.

The front seat was usually reserved for the wife, was it not?

Besides, she wanted to sit next to Elliot and maybe steal a touch of his arm.

Elliot met her gaze and replied casually, "You had an accident in the front seat last time and might still be traumatized. Besides, Lance needs to discuss some matters with me, so he'll sit up front. I don't want you to be reminded of the car crash. Since you've forgotten it, let's not trigger the memory."

'Sheena' had no choice but to comply for fear of Elliot asking about the Orkayd Tunnel incident.

She forced herself to agree, even cheerfully.

When she woke up, it was pitch dark, so dark she could not see her own hand in front of her face.

There was an eerie atmosphere, and the air had a strange scent, like blood.

"Honey?"

Fear gripped her heart.

The next second, a dim light turned on in the confinement room.

The yellowish overhead light was not too harsh but enough for her to see the entire room.

It was a small, enclosed room with walls on all sides and no windows.

The walls were lined with various frightening items, including whips, ropes, iron chains, and other terrifying tools.

She held her breath in terror, her eyes finally landing on the far side of the room, where Elliot sat, staring at her.

His lips were pressed into a thin line, his gaze icy and devoid of warmth.

His presence was overwhelmingly grim, like a judge ready to announce her sentence.

Trying to steady herself, she called out, "Honey, where are we? Why does it look so scary? Weren't we going home to see Asher and Adora?"
