Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1525

Elliot gently stroked Asher's little head.

He said in a soft, serious tone, "For now, let's keep Nana's disappearance quiet to avoid causing panic in Svelton. I've already arranged for Lance to conduct a thorough investigation. We're also recovering data from the two phones we found, and we'll have results by tomorrow morning."

Despite the turmoil in his heart, he had meticulously planned everything.

Nathaniel listened silently, contemplating for a long moment before asking, "So, you're planning to wait until tomorrow morning? Until we get the results?"

Elliot remained silent, which clearly indicated his agreement.

The first half of the night had been chaotic, and investigations took time.

Moreover, the enemies were cunning and well-acquainted with Svelton, hiding without leaving any traces.

Hence, patience was the only option.

Seeing his silence, Nathaniel's expression grew even darker.

He crumpled the report in his hand, feeling immense restraint and pressure.

The thought of Sheena being missing and possibly harmed made it impossible for him to stay calm.

Elliot might have had the patience to wait, but he did not.

Nathaniel abruptly stood up, set down the report, and turned to leave.

Puzzled, Lionel called after him, "Nathaniel, it's the middle of the night. There's not much we can do right now. What are you planning to do?"

Nathaniel stopped but did not turn around.

Instead, he ordered, "One more person, one more way. If Elliot is investigating openly, I'll go underground."

With a resolute thud, he closed the office door behind him.

The room fell into an immediate, heavy silence.

Elliot focused on the children sleeping in his arms, his dark eyes deep and unreadable.

Although he did not show his pain and guilt in front of Lionel, Lionel had been with him for over a decade and knew his temperament too well.

"Don't be picky. We're lucky to have food. Didn't you hear Daddy last night? He's really busy, and so is Mommy. We need to be good and not make things harder for him."

"Oh… Okay," Adora pouted, picking up her spoon and obediently continuing her meal without further complaints.

Elliot's face showed his exhaustion, with dark circles under his eyes from the sleepless night.

Asher noticed and felt a pang of concern, pushing his egg toward Elliot.

"Daddy, I'm tired of eggs. The IV last night left a bitter taste in my mouth. I only want water. Can you eat my egg for me?"

Elliot snapped out of his daze, gently rubbing Asher's head.

"Do you feel sick? Do you want to throw up?"

Asher shook his head. "I'm okay. I just don't want the egg. It makes me feel sick, but I don't want to waste food. Please eat it."

"Alright." Elliot smiled softly and ate the egg Asher had given him.

After breakfast, he took the kids to the lab.
