Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1516

Adora let out a soft whimper, clearly conflicted.

She was worried that Nathaniel would probably feel very disappointed and sad if she refused.

The atmosphere in the room grew tense.

Nathaniel was at a loss.

Even if he managed to soothe Adora, Asher would likely cause a fuss when it was his turn for bed.

After all, Adora was willing to listen to him, but Asher was not.

Just as he was feeling completely stuck, Lionel walked in, lugging two large suitcases.

They were filled with children's clothes, looking like he had emptied their entire wardrobe.

Lionel was unsure how long the current state of emergency would last, so he brought all the kids' fall and winter clothes just in case.

With Lionel's arrival, Nathaniel felt relieved as they could each handle one child and get them to sleep.

Nathaniel took Adora to the empty room next door, sat by her bed, and read her a fairy tale he had found on his phone.

"...and so, Snow White and the prince lived happily ever after."

When he reached the end of the story, Adora frowned, still wide awake.

"Uncle Nate, you tell stories like you're giving a speech. It's so boring. What should I do?"

Nathaniel was at a loss for words.

The night of being at the mercy of two little ones was just beginning for Nathaniel and Lionel.

Back at the National Investigation Bureau, Elliot sat in his office.

The swirling smoke from his cigarette clouded his eyes, making his expression even more mysterious and troubled.

It was late at night, and there was still no progress in finding Sheena.

Elliot could not sleep at all.

The ashtray was filled with cigarette butts, and he had already lit two more.

"Although the signal is still weak, we detected her phone about ten minutes ago near the outskirts of Svelton, on Shrewmont Passageway!"

Elliot did not waste a second.

"Get the car. We’re heading to Shrewmont Passageway!"

He tried calling Sheena again as he gave the order, but the operator still said she was out of the service area.

Lance hesitated.

"Mr. Jenkins, it’s late. Even at our fastest speed, it will take over an hour to reach the Shrewmont Passageway. Besides, don’t you find it strange?"

Sheena's car had fallen into the gully near Orkayd Tunnel, yet a few hours later, her GPS could be detected from Shrewmont Passageway.

How did she get there?

Elliot continued out the door. “It doesn’t matter. We need to check it out. We have to see for ourselves."

Lance, still uneasy, decided to take extra precautions.

He arranged a small team and five armed vehicles to accompany them, just in case.
