Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1492

With little money left, Mavis realized she could not afford a cab all the way to the Nicholls residence as it was too far.

After some thought, she decided to take the bus and transfer to the subway, treating it as a chance to familiarize herself with her future commute.

In the lab, Asher was sitting on a hospital bed, intensely focused on writing something.

Adora sat across from him, working on a craft project assigned by her teacher.

She headed to the lab immediately after her kindergarten classes ended for the day.

"Asher, what are you writing?" Adora asked, tilting her head to see the paper he was so engrossed in.

Asher appeared serious and answered without even glancing at her.

"I'm planning how to remodel the aquarium. Once I'm done, I'll give Nathaniel the plan so he can buy the animals and redecorate the aquarium."

Adora's curiosity was piqued.

She moved closer to him to get a better look at his paper.

Though he was only five, he knew what he wanted, and his sketch of the aquarium layout, while a bit rough, was quite understandable even to her.

However, Adora noticed something that wiped the smile off her face.

There was no dolphin exhibit on his plan!

Her expression turned gloomy.

"Why isn't there a dolphin exhibit? Are you not planning to keep the dolphins? Where will my Kimmy live?"

Asher snorted. "Only you like those childish sea creatures. They don't match my vibe. I want to keep fierce animals, the kind that could eat you up in one bite."

Adora was scared, and she began to whimper, looking at him with big, watery eyes.

"You're lying. You obviously had fun playing with Kimmy yesterday. But now you're saying Kimmy is childish and wants to tear down Kimmy's home and get fierce animals to eat me. Don't you love me anymore?"

Asher was annoyed.

He could not stand it when girls cried.

"Do you really like Kimmy that much?"

Adora nodded. "Kimmy was a gift from Uncle Nate for my first birthday. It's been with me for four years, and I visit it all the time. Kimmy is my good friend."

Tears hung on her eyelashes, making her look incredibly pitiful.

Horrified, she quickly responded, "I choose you."

Asher was surprised by her quick decision.

"Why? You just said you love Kimmy and can't be without it."

"I can't be without Kimmy, but I can't be without you even more. Kimmy is my best friend, but you're my best friend and my family. If I have to choose, I'll always pick you."

Asher was pleased by her answer.

With his free hand, he patted Adora's head, mimicking their parents.

"Since you're being so good, I'll keep the dolphin exhibit for you."

"Yay! Asher, you're the best!"

Outside the room, Sheena and Elliot listened to their conversation.

Hearing Asher's change of heart, they felt a wave of relief and joy.

Ever since they took Asher to the aquarium, his attitude had been improving.

Animals truly had a healing effect on him!
