Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1436

Aishah was truly afraid and immediately knelt before Nathaniel.

"Mr. Nicholls, please don't fire me. Give me another chance! My whole family just moved to Svelton, and I just paid last month's rent. If I lose this job now, we won't be able to survive. Have mercy on me."

Nathaniel smirked and said, "I've never been one to show kindness."

He glanced at Mavis again, intentionally adding, "If she's the one you've wronged, then it's up to her to forgive you. If she's willing to spare you, I might consider it."

Aishah and Helena felt like they had found a lifeline.

Though begging Mavis, whom they despised, felt humiliating, they had no choice if they wanted to stay.

"Mavis… Mae! Please help me. If I lose my job with the Nicholls family, I won't be able to stay in Svelton. It'll be the end of me. Please, just let me off the hook this time! I shouldn't have bullied you. I'll do whatever you ask, and I sincerely apologize."

Both women pleaded tearfully, trying to appear as humble as possible, reaching out to touch the hem of Mavis's skirt.

However, Mavis stepped back, avoiding their touch.

After a moment's hesitation, she shook her head decisively.

"You'll have to pay the price for your wrongdoings. You knew the consequences of causing trouble in the Nicholls residence, yet you repeatedly bullied me out of jealousy. Getting kicked out of the Nicholls residence should have been something you considered long ago. I accept your apology, but I won't ask Mr. Nicholls to spare you."

Mavis was no fool.

She knew that allowing these two scheming women to stay at the Nicholls residence would only encourage them.

In fact, they might even resort to worse tactics in the future.

People like them deserved punishment.

Aishah was stunned, never expecting Mavis to reject it so firmly.

Despite her humble pleas, why was Mavis unwilling to forgive her?

"You're ruthless! Just because I made you sweep the floor, you hold a grudge and want to destroy me?"

Mavis remained unmoved.

"There's no reason you can't survive outside Svelton. You're just vain, unwilling to give up the chance to make money in a wealthy place like Svelton. Morally manipulating with such petty threats is just despicable. You're both stupid and evil. If I don't teach you a lesson now, you'll never change."

Nathaniel scoffed and asked, "You think it's unfair? Who do you think you are? Do you make the rules, or do I, as the head of the Nicholls family?"

Aishah pointed angrily at Mavis and shouted, "Both of us are servants. Mr. Nicholls, you should treat us equally. If you favor Mavis, not only will I not accept it, but I'm afraid the entire Nicholls family staff won't accept it."

Nathaniel's smile dripped with sarcasm. "Who said she's a servant?"

He walked over to Mavis, ignoring her shocked expression, and carried her, holding her intimately.

"Mr. Nicholls, w-what…" Mavis was startled by his sudden gesture.

Nathaniel looked down at Aishah on the ground.

"It just so happens that I planned to announce this big news tonight, so you might as well know in advance."

He spoke solemnly, each word clear and distinct.

"Mavis isn't my personal servant. She's Mrs. Nicholls, my wife. Just a few days ago, we got married."

With that statement, the three remaining people in the yard were all shocked, and Seymour's jaw hit the floor.
