Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1362

As Nathaniel carried Adora inside, Cassie was already waiting at the restaurant's entrance.

When she saw them approaching, she smiled warmly, her demeanor humble.

"Ms. Reynolds, I recall you arrived a few minutes earlier yesterday and sat in the private room waiting for me. You didn't even stand up when I entered. It's quite unusual to see you waiting for me at the entrance today," Nathaniel remarked, his tone calm but laced with a hint of coldness.

Cassie's expression faltered briefly.

However, she quickly composed herself and offered an apologetic smile, saying, "I was rather foolish yesterday. I hope you won't hold it against me."

Nathaniel remained silent, glancing at Adora in his arms.

Adora stared at Cassie and huffed, not saying a word.

After all, Elliot had given her a final warning not to call Nathaniel "daddy" in public, so she was just here to listen, playing the role of an adorable little mute.

Cassie felt awkward.

Remembering Umair's advice, she plucked up the courage and addressed Adora, "It's lunchtime already. You must be hungry. Mr. Nicholls, please, let's talk inside."

Guided by the restaurant manager, the three of them made their way to their private room.

Once seated, Cassie eagerly served Adora, offering her a piece of king crab, a specialty of the house.

"This king crab is their signature dish, even better than those famous restaurants in Svelton. Ms. Adora, give it a try and see if you like it."

She extracted some crab meat, dipped it in sauce, and placed it on Adora's plate.

Adora pouted, feeling a bit repulsed. "I don't eat food that you serve, Grandma."

She pushed the plate back, indicating Cassie to enjoy it herself.

Nathaniel's attention, however, was drawn to Cassie's address to Adora.

He vividly remembered not mentioning Adora by name during his blind date with Cassie yesterday.

"So, you've realized Adora's identity, which is why you invited me to lunch, wanting to apologize for your mistake."

Cassie dropped the pretense and admitted, "Yes, yesterday when I heard Ms. Adora calling you 'daddy', I spoke out of frustration. I hope you both won't hold it against me."

Adora sat in Nathaniel's lap, her demeanor proud and stubborn as she said, "Yesterday, you called me an illegitimate child and insulted my upbringing. Do you really think I'll forgive you with just a meal?"

The female server walked over with the fruit platter in hand.

However, she was momentarily distracted when she saw Nathaniel and Adora, causing the platter to tilt.

Crash!

The glass bowl collided with the edge of the table, sending the entire fruit platter flying onto the carpet, leaving a mess.

Cassie stood up abruptly and scolded, "How could you be so clumsy? What if you had hurt Ms. Adora? Get your manager here immediately!"

The woman bowed apologetically. "I'm sorry."

Adora looked up from Nathaniel's arms.

Upon recognizing the woman, she exclaimed excitedly, "Uncle Nate, look! It's Mae!"

Nathaniel followed her gaze, his eyes locking onto the woman's face with a hint of surprise.

"What are you doing here?"
