Wait, She’s a Billionaire (Sheena Lawson) novel Chapter 1347

Elliot turned to look at Asher, who seemed to enjoy watching the drama unfold.

Asher said in a casual tone, "That man was your previous rival in love, right? That's why you got so angry when Adora called him daddy."

Elliot sighed and reached out to gently pat Asher's head.

"You're still a child. This is something between us adults, so don't overthink it. Just focus on getting better."

Asher raised an eyebrow, his expression mirroring Elliot's as if he were a miniature version of his father.

He resignedly said, "No matter how many drips, medicines, or treatments I go through, I won't get better. I don't want to suffer anymore."

Elliot's heart ached.

He tenderly rubbed Asher's pale cheek, comforting him, "That's not true, Asher. You're just unwell now, but there are remedies in the lab that can cure you. When your body is strong enough to handle the medicine, Uncle Yosef will help you recover."

Asher did not respond to that.

Instead, he shifted the conversation back to the incident involving Nathaniel.

"Daddy, I know you're powerful, and a wave of your hand could influence the entire Froania. Why didn't you get rid of that man? Why let him linger around Adora, even becoming her godfather?"

Elliot was taken aback, staring into Asher's obsidian eyes, which were exactly like his.

"Asher, you're only five. Do you know what it means to take someone's life? How could you have such thoughts…"

Asher smiled weakly, looking as sickly as ever.

"Getting rid of him means making him disappear forever, right? I don't want to see him, so I hope he disappears."

Elliot felt a chill run down his spine.

Could a five-year-old kid be this calculating?

Elliot could not help but wonder if he was overthinking or if Asher was more mature than he imagined.

Elliot stared at Asher's face, an exact copy of his own, and inwardly chuckled.

Asher was just a child, after all.

"Asher, I know you're smart, and I can't keep secrets from you, nor can I outsmart you. But I hope you won't be so oversensitive. I want you to have a happy and carefree childhood like Adora, not to worry about anything."

"Daddy, don't worry, I will." Asher smiled.

Elliot gently patted his little head, feeling a pang of pity for his son, who had been weak from illness since childhood.

However, he noticed a few books on the bedside table from the corner of his eyes.

Elliot stood up and walked over, picking up the books.

There were math workbooks and conversation skill books, but the black book at the bottom caught Elliot's attention.
