Under the Heiress' Facade novel Chapter 999

Shaun and Jameson drove Samantha to the hospital, where the nurses and doctors were already waiting, having received word of Samantha's arrival in advance. The moment they arrived, she was wheeled into the operating room which was already prepared in advance. The door closed behind her.

Shaun wanted to enter the room as well because he wanted to know who the doctors inside were, but two bodyguards wearing the insignia of the royal guards on their arms stopped him from entering, guarding the doors stalwartly.

Shaun's face twisted into a deep frown. Upon noticing the insignia, he rationally didn't opt to make a scene. However, he grabbed Jameson and asked, "Who are the doctors inside? Are they reliable?"

Jameson had arranged for those doctors to operate on Samantha when they were on the way to the hospital. He was speaking in the language of Elvenmark, so Shaun didn't understand a single word.

Jameson noticed Shaun's state—his eyes were blood-red, he looked stressed, and he was gripping his arm tightly. He knew that Shaun, just like himself, was very worried that something would happen to Samantha. Shaun was probably more worried than Jameson was, judging from how Shaun's hands were visibly shaking.

As another one of Samantha's ex-boyfriends, he understood how worried Shaun was feeling, as well as the other emotions he harbored. He even felt like he fell short in comparison to Shaun as he hadn't even known that Samantha was allergic to garlic.

However, as Shaun's competitor for Samantha's affections, he didn't want to lose to him.

"They're the royal family's doctors," Jameson answered.

Shaun frowned. "Does that mean that they're reliable? Do you not have better doctors in your connections?"

Jameson looked at him in disbelief, as if Shaun were joking. "If these royal doctors aren't reliable, are you able to find a miracle doctor, then?"

Shaun wanted to tell him that those so-called imperial doctors were the least reliable if he went with what usually happened in Jadonian historical dramas. However, upon the mention of miracle doctors, Shaun suddenly thought about a certain person.

He remembered that he knew a great miracle doctor personally. He had forgotten that prior to this moment.

Shaun let go of Jameson, headed to the other side of the corridor, and gave Bernard a call.

An average allergic reaction wasn't that serious, and the patient would recover after adequate treatment. However, a serious allergic reaction might be fatal.

Bernard dared not go against what she wanted, so he did as he was told. Shaun said thickly, his voice shaking uncontrollably, "Samantha accidentally drank something with garlic salt in it. Someone was trying to harm her. Her symptoms seem serious. She probably took a lot of it. She's currently in the operating room."

Hera knew that Samantha was allergic to garlic. When the two of them ate in restaurants, they'd tell the staff not to serve them anything with garlic in it because just a small amount of it was enough to bring upon a rash that covered every inch of Samantha's skin.

If the situation was serious, Samantha might even go into anaphylactic shock, and her life would be in danger.

This allergy she was born with could not be cured. Hera's expression hardened as she snatched Bernard's phone from him. "Don't panic. Turn on your camera and show me her current state."

Shaun turned on his camera. "She's in the operating room right now. Her bodyguards are standing outside right now, so I can't enter."
