Both of our eyes widened in shock as a word rolled out of our tongues at the same time,

“MATE!”

Neither of us spoke. We were completely speechless. Both of us were just staring at each other at that compromising position with utterly astonished expressions on our faces.

How could this be possible?

I have already found my mate!

He can’t be my mate!

I was dragged out of my train of thoughts when the third person decided to speak in the matter.

“Did you both just say ‘Mate’? What was that? Did I see sparks generating from your bodies?” asked Alice with the same shocked expressions but soon it changed into the brightest and most approving smile on her face.

“You guys are Mates!” she added jumping happily.

“What?” asked both of us in unison.

We looked at her confusedly then at each other and I realized that we were not at stable position yet.

Luke helped me to stand on my feet gently but his hands were still on my waist keeping me close to his delicious body. I pushed him lightly and created the much needed space between us which was previously absent.

“Congratulations! You found your mate brother and she is so beautiful” said Alice punching her confused brother’s shoulder.

Reality hit us like a truck after she wished us. We were still trying to contemplate the situation.

“Huh? Oh!” he replied in a muddled tone.

“I.. No.. What?.. Huh?” I asked confusedly as none of it was making sense to me and both of us looked at each other for a fraction of seconds again before I realized I must excuse myself before I lose my mind completely.

“I need to go” I said while moving towards my room which was just next to Alice’s room.

“What happened to her? Maybe she is shocked too!! Or maybe she is just shy!” I heard the overly excited Alice’s words while entering my room and closing the door behind.

I stood there resting my back on the door trying to catch the breath I was holding the entire time when I was in his arms.

‘What was that? Is he really my mate? Then who was the wolf I met in the forest? Was I wrong this entire time? Can I have two mates? Is it even possible to have two mates?’ I thought as I couldn’t figure out what the hell was happening.

“I don’t know! I don’t know anything” I said in a low tone and grabbed a fistful of my hair and started pulling it in frustration.

‘If the wolf from the forest is my mate then how Luke is my mate too? What am I supposed do? What was I feeling when I was in Luke’s arm? Is it why I was attracted to him from the start?’ I started questioning myself while sitting on my bed.

I could still hear the Smith sibling’s conversation.

“SSsshhh! Keep this a secret from others for now” said Luke keeping his index finger on his sister’s mouth.

‘Why?’ I thought confusedly but Alice asked the same thing but with much disappointment.

“Why?”

“Did you see her reaction? She is confused” said Luke in a plain tone.

‘And when did he become so thoughtful?’ I thought.

“She just found out that you are her mate on the very first meeting! What did you expect? According to my observation, you look more confused. Is it because that b*tch you sleep with?” asked Alice angrily.

“No, I stopped hanging out with her long ago” said Luke in his defense.

“Just in front of me! Do you really think I don’t know what happens behind my back? You better stop it this time or I am telling mom” Alice threatened her brother. Her tone was as cold as ice block.

“Nicolas and brother are best friend forever. They are just inseparable” Alice added trying to give me the unwanted information for future use, but sadly, it doesn’t matter to me.

“Just like Elena and I” said Lily happily and I smiled in agreement.

“Oh, did you arrange the room?” I asked in a calm tone.

It was nearly impossible to arrange room on someone’s wish as after their arrival, it was a little crowded in the pack house and every room is preoccupied. But to my surprise, I heard a positive reply.

“Yes, I did. The room between Liam and Mr. Smith” she replied nodding.

I know she must be smirking internally for completing a nearly impossible task.

“Mateo’s room?” I asked confusedly as he is one of the strongest fighter of our clan but he can be really annoying sometimes.

“Oh yeah. He agreed as he wanted to be in Mr. Smith’s good books” said Lily with an eye roll while talking about that irritating jerk.

“Typical of him!” I replied with the same level of annoyance.

“You guys can call me Luke as we are going to be together for a long time” he said looking me directly in the eye but his tone wasn’t polite as it should be.

“Cool” replied Lily with a small smile and I just nodded.

As always, she read my awkward expressions and didn’t ask me anything right away.

I know, Lily is trying to dissect the situation in her head. She will bombard me with innumerable question the moment she gets in an alone room with me.

There was a moment of silence until other person decided to make an entrance.

“Hello, Ms. Elena Swan. I am Ira Blossom” said a beautiful blonde girl while standing next to Luke.
