The next morning, Sana brought breakfast and waited at the door of Jessica’s office early.

Gabriela would come back in the afternoon, and Jessica would come to work for the whole morning.

Jessica saw Sana at the door from a distance and frowned instinctively. She always felt that Saha was being overly attentive to her.

She couldn’t figure out why Sana was making things difficult for herself. Sana had a good family background. She was a local, and her parents were both university professors. There was really no need for her to lawn over Jessica.

Sana said, “Ms. Grant, good morning.”

Jessica nodded with a cold face and opened the door, and walked into the office.

Sana thought Jessica’s attitude towards her was a bit too cold.

Just now, Sana saw other colleagues greet Jessica, and Jessica replied with a “good morning“, but Sana only got a cold nod.

“Ms. Grant, have you had breakfast? This is a sandwich made by my mom. Would you like to try it?”

“This latte was also made by my mom. She retired and has nothing to do, so she has taken up cooking. These things taste no worse than those sold outside,” Sana babbled. Jessica’s expression became more impatient, but she endured it.

Sana said, “Jessica…”

“Shut up!” Sana calling her name made Jessica explode. She said coldly, “Sana, 1 hired you to do practical work in the company, not to be an ass–kisser!”

Before Sana could explain, Jessica’s tone became even colder. “If you think you can’t cope with this job, you’d better resign.”

After she finished speaking, the whole office fell silent.

Sana was slightly stunned. She just wanted to care about Jessica by sending breakfast, but she made her angry. Anyway, Jessica’s reaction was a bit

“Sorry,” Sana picked up the breakfast on the table and said sincerely, “I just wanted

about you.”

She walked towards the door. Before leaving, she looked back at Jessica and said, “Ms. Grant, I think there’s something wrong with your mood. It may be a psychological problem.”

Sana continued, “For the sake of your baby, I suggest you see a psychologist if you have time. If you need it, I have a schoolmate who is a psychologist. He-”

Jessica said, “Get out.”

The door clicked shut, leaving behind an oppressive silence.

With the sound of the door closing, the room became completely quiet. Jessica rubbed the bridge of her nose and reflected that she had a bit of a temper recently.

She thought, ‘Am I like this because of the pregnancy hormones?‘ Jessica frowned tightly. She didn’t mean to lose her temper with Sana.

But Sana’s flattery and closeness made Jessica instinctively annoyed. As for seeing a psychologist, Jessica didn’t think there was anything wrong with her mentally, so she didn’t plan to go.

She was busy until noon. Jessica simply tidied up the desk and went back to Grant Manor for lunch.
