Analise was a little pissed off, even though she didn't know why.

Perhaps it was because she genuinely cared about Gideon. Another possible reason was that he was the only therian who could develop a replacement for Purification Potion.

"Ana, we'll have to use your blood for the potion, and I couldn't bear the thought of them drinking your blood. It makes me angry to even think about it." Gideon lowered his head, his eyes darkening with uncertainty.

Analise was at a loss for words. What a mad scientist. That was such a ridiculous reason to get jealous.

"You wanted to infect yourself with the same virus so you could be the first test subject who drinks my blood. Did I get it right?"

"Yeah. What's wrong with that?" Gideon stared at Analise. When he realized that she was upset, he quietly lowered his head like a kid who had done something wrong.

"You shouldn't have put yourself at risk for that. What if the experiment fails, and you die from it?" She poked at his forehead.

"Are you worried about me, Ana?" Gideon tilted his head and stared at her with a bright smile on his face.

"Who said I was worried about you?" Analise turned around.

"Ana, his stench is all over you. Are you not even going to look at me?" Gideon gnashed his teeth and glared at Finlay before he gave her a pitiable look.

The therians had a sharp sense of smell. Topping that off with the hickeys on her neck, it would be hard for him not to notice the fact that she had mated with Finlay. He was practically driven mad with jealousy.

Analise was speechless. Then, she asked, "Who said anything like that? Aren't I looking at you now?"

Gideon grunted and turned sideways proudly. Moments later, he threw himself into her arms. "Will you sleep with me tonight, Ana?"

When she failed to respond to him instantly, he felt sorry for himself again. "Ana, do you not want it? I won't push it. I know I'm not as good as they are."

"That's enough. Let's head to the lab and run some tests with my blood." Analise patted Gideon, hinting at him to stop hugging her.

"What is he going to use your blood for?" Finlay immediately tensed up when he heard what she said. Now, he knew why she merely said she had to work with Gideon's research, instead of giving him a straight answer.

He immediately pulled her over before standing in front of her and staring at Gideon alarmingly.

"Relax." Analise reached out and held Finlay's wrist. She could feel that he was readying himself for a fight.

"Ana, why does he need to use your blood? What kind of research is this exactly? Did you agree to it? Why would Scott be okay with this?"

Finlay frowned. Scott just talked about working with Gideon on his research when he asked Finlay to take Analise to Shadowhawk Alliance. Scott was a smart therian. There was no way he wouldn't have known about this.

"A pure human female's blood can replace one of the components in the potion. If we can successfully develop it, we will be able to save the frenzied males."
