The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 786

Danielle drove home, quietly preparing to pack her things.

She knelt in front of her suitcase, neatly folding and arranging her clothes inside. As her fingers brushed over the fabric, her mind felt calm—almost empty.

“Mom, look!”

A bright, excited voice rang out. Niki came running over, dragging her own little suitcase behind her, her cheeks flushed with excitement. “I packed all my clothes! And I brought Mr. Bunny, too!”

Danielle looked up at her daughter and couldn’t help but smile. “That’s amazing, Niki. You’re such a big girl now, packing all by yourself.”

She reached out and gently ruffled Niki’s hair. “Once we leave Northridge City, we’ll both be happier, right?”

Niki nodded enthusiastically, her eyes sparkling. “Yeah! I’ll make new friends in our new place, and you can do the work you actually like. We won’t have to think about sad things anymore!”

Danielle’s heart softened at her daughter’s words.

Leaving Northridge City wasn’t just about moving to a different place—it was about saying goodbye to the past for good. She was letting go of all the days when she’d swallowed her pride, the tangled mess of things with Alexander, and the dangers that had always lurked just out of sight.

As for what Alexander had been through, or why he’d always been so cold to her—Danielle no longer cared to know, and didn’t want to.

Her phone rang, snapping her out of her thoughts. Kirsten’s name lit up on the screen.

She answered, and Kirsten’s boisterous voice tumbled through the speaker. “Dani, everyone from Ninesky is getting together tonight—it’s sort of a farewell dinner for you. Bring Niki, okay? We all want to see you one last time.”
