The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 677

His words were flawless—airtight and unassailable.

In the end, it was Alexander who helped him over to take a seat.

“If you’re not feeling well, there’s no need to push yourself at the hospital. If you really want this new project, I’m more than willing to help you secure it. Just focus on getting better.”

His tone was calm, yet there was a quiet certainty in his voice—if Nathan wanted that project today, Alexander would make sure he got it.

Nathan glanced up at him. After a moment’s silent contemplation, he offered a small, wry smile. “No need for your help. I can handle the project myself.”

Alexander replied evenly, “There’s no reason to grit your teeth and go it alone. We’re family, after all.”

Polite words, smooth as glass, all for the sake of appearances.

“Father also hopes we can work together. If Davidson Group rises to new heights, both our names are on it.”

“As your younger brother, I’d never dream of competing with you. If there’s anything you want, just ask and it’s yours.”

Nathan’s lips curled into a faint, sardonic smile. “You keep calling me ‘big brother’—how could I take something you’ve worked so hard for? Everything you have, you’ve earned over the years. I can’t just take it for free.”

Alexander’s smile didn’t falter for a second. He spoke slowly and amiably, “There’s no need to stand on ceremony. We’re family. Unless, of course, you don’t really see me as your brother.”

He left Nathan with nothing to say.

“As your brother, I should remind you—stay away from your ex-wife. There’s gossip going around, and it won’t do the Davidson family any good. Just think how Father would react if he heard.”

“You’ve already told Father you want to marry Danielle, and he’s made it clear he won’t allow it. If you keep pushing, you’ll only set him off. When that happens, even I won’t be able to help you.”

Nathan looked up slowly. “What’s the matter? Feeling anxious now? Or is it regret—you divorced her, and now you’re afraid I might really marry her?”

He laughed. “I’m a man of my word. I won’t take it back, not for Father’s pressure or anything else.”

“Do you have a ride home, Nathan?”

Harold stepped in. “Don’t worry, I’ll drive him back. I’ll make sure he gets home safe.”

After a few words of farewell, they left.

Gian only turned away once they were out of sight.

“Alexander said we shouldn’t get involved in this project—especially not with Vanguard Technologies,” Danielle said. “At first, I thought he just didn’t want us teaming up with Vanguard to compete against him.”

“But now he’s made it clear, by his actions, that he’s not even participating.”

Gian frowned. “Your suspicions were right, but it’s still risky to trust him completely.”

“His business instincts are razor-sharp. Maybe there really is something off about this project.”
