The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 623

Once the company was established, everything seemed to revolve around business functions and networking.

Ninesky Technologies was at its peak—no need to woo new partners, but the company’s image and market standing still demanded careful attention.

Gian Atwood and Danielle both attended these events.

Kirsten took Danielle to a high-end boutique to choose a dress.

“Why do you always insist on buying something new every time there’s a gala?” Kirsten teased as they browsed. “You take life much too seriously. Women should enjoy themselves—splurge a little!”

“Buy new clothes and shoes now and then! Your wardrobe’s always filled with the same handful of outfits.”

Looping her arm through Danielle’s, Kirsten grinned. “From now on, whenever I go shopping, I’m dragging you with me. You need more options, believe me.”

Danielle could only give a helpless smile. “I’ve just been too busy lately. Haven’t really had the time—or the energy—to focus on myself.”

She really had been busy.

Busy building a future for herself and her daughter; determined to be the support her little girl could always count on.

With so much on her plate, self-care had naturally slipped down her list of priorities.

Kirsten shook her head. “You need to learn to love yourself too. Work and career aren’t all there is to life.” She ushered Danielle inside, and soon the staff were measuring and showing her styles.

When they left the boutique, Kirsten’s gaze landed on a pair walking across the street.

A man in a sharp suit, juggling several shopping bags, trailed behind a woman.

Kirsten grabbed Danielle’s arm. “Isn’t that the woman who’s always hanging around Alexander?”

Danielle followed her line of sight.

It was indeed her.

Kirsten frowned. “But who’s that guy with her?”

The man was tall and striking, with an imposing presence even from a distance—something about him radiated quiet authority.

Kirsten stroked her chin, musing, “He looks like... security? Maybe a bodyguard?”

It was obvious how differently Alexander treated this woman compared to others. If he fancied her, he’d have a bodyguard follow her everywhere.

But he’d never done anything like that for Millie before.

The room buzzed with chatter.

As they entered, every eye in the room turned to them.

Keegan Clarke’s gaze darkened.

Danielle rarely dressed up for events like this, but tonight, she looked absolutely radiant—cool, elegant, impossible to ignore.

She instantly became the center of attention.

Liam had always known Danielle was attractive, but even he was stunned by how breathtaking she looked tonight.

Alexander sat in the shadows, his eyes trained on her, expression unreadable. His gaze lingered at her waist, then he looked away, betraying nothing.

Danielle and Gian found their seats amid a flurry of introductions and eager social climbers.

Keegan glanced at Alexander. “She’s changed. She’s not the same woman anymore.”

Alexander swirled the wine in his glass, his tone calm and measured. “No one stands still forever. And tonight, she’s right where she always belonged.”
