The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 245

Danielle lowered her gaze, dabbing her hands dry with a napkin as she listened to Bianca’s words.

So that’s what Bianca thought—she imagined Danielle had followed them here, ready to cause a dramatic scene over Alexander.

What a joke.

Danielle tossed the napkin into the wastebasket beside her, then finally lifted her eyes to meet Bianca’s. Her tone was cool and edged with mockery. “You’re all throwing this big, flashy celebration in public and you don’t care how it looks, but if I make a scene, suddenly it’s shameful?”

Her face was striking, her eyes distant and full of biting sarcasm.

Bianca’s gaze hardened.

The woman standing before her seemed like a stranger—aloof, commanding, nothing like the gentle, obedient daughter-in-law she used to know.

It was clear Danielle was pushing back, daring to challenge Bianca’s authority as both mother-in-law and elder.

Bianca drew a sharp breath, her face stony. “Watch your attitude. Do you even know who you’re talking to?”

“I swear, Alex has been indulging you far too much lately. Is that why you think you can show such disrespect?”

“Today, you’d better remember your place and keep yourself in check. Don’t forget who you are in this family.”

Danielle let out a short, scornful laugh, her words blunt and unyielding. “If you haven’t done anything wrong, you don’t need to be afraid of anyone knocking on your door. If she really has nothing to hide, then why sneak around? If you’re bold enough to do it, you should be bold enough to face the consequences.”

“And do you really think being Mrs. Davidson is some kind of golden ticket? Like anyone’s desperate for that title.”

She had absolutely no desire to waste another minute here, arguing for the sake of it.

With that, Danielle turned on her heel and strode away without looking back.

Bianca was left speechless, her mind blank with fury. Her hand shot up, pointing at Danielle’s retreating figure. “You—!”

But Danielle didn’t even pause. Bianca snatched her hand back and let out a sharp, angry huff.

Unbelievable.

Alex and Millie had known each other since childhood—they were as close as siblings, nothing more! But Danielle… her mind was filthy, always seeing the worst in people, sulking and throwing fits. For someone carrying the Davidson name, she certainly had no grace or dignity.

Liam’s smile turned sly.

He knew full well Alex was annoyed.

Clearly, Alex wanted Millie as a wife, not a sister. Now that Bianca had all but declared her a daughter, the family tree just got a lot more complicated.

Liam sat back with his drink, content to watch the drama unfold.

Winning Millie over wouldn’t be easy.

He was curious to see just how Alexander planned to do it.

AetherX Dynamics’ grand opening was in full swing.

It was obvious—they weren’t just opening for business; this was the start of something huge, with plans to go public already in the works.
