The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 1437

After patching him up as best they could, the two men left, leaving Alex alone in the apartment.

He leaned back against the cushions and closed his eyes, but the throbbing pain made sleep impossible.

His sprained wrist was on fire, his bruised ribs sent sharp spasms of agony with every breath, and his split lip stung every time he moved his mouth.

He knew iodine and gauze weren't going to cut it. He needed serious anti-inflammatories and painkillers.

But he was in unfamiliar territory. He didn't know a single doctor he could trust in Penang, and risking a local pharmacy was out of the question—Harold could easily tamper with the supply.

After weighing his options, he grabbed his phone and dialed a familiar number.

It rang a few times before it was answered. "Alex? It's the middle of the night. What's wrong?"

It was Rebecca.

"Rebecca, I'm in Penang. I took a hit, and I need you to prescribe some medication and overnight it to me."

His voice was dragged down by pure exhaustion as he rattled off his symptoms. "Sprained wrist, severe bruising, muscle contusions. I need high-grade anti-inflammatories, painkillers, and a strong topical ointment for the swelling."

The line crackled as she immediately went into doctor mode. "How did you get hurt?"

"Does this have to do with Harold? Alex, what the hell were you thinking going out there on your own?"

Alex forced a tired chuckle. "Just a minor complication. It's nothing serious. Get the meds together and overnight them. And throw in the antidepressants."

"I'll text you the address. Keep it completely off the grid. Use a secure international courier, not a standard mailing service."
