The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 1193

At that moment, the other team members also came out, echoing Parham's sentiments and urging Danielle to follow Alexander’s plan. Seeing the sincerity in their eyes, and then looking back at Alexander, she knew that insisting further would only make things more difficult for him.

“Alright, I’ll go,” she said softly. “But you have to promise me you’ll be careful and take care of yourself.”

“I will. Don’t worry,” Alexander assured her. “Once the storm is over, I’ll come and get you myself.”

After the meeting, Alexander immediately arranged for Sammie to come and pick up Danielle. Sammie appeared as composed and capable as ever. “Miss Crawford,” he said respectfully upon seeing her, “everything is ready. We can leave now.”

Danielle gathered her small bag and walked over to Alexander. She handed him the pair of pink gloves. “Take these. It’s freezing in Antarctica. Make sure you wear them. And take your medicine on time. Don’t make Niki and me worry.”

Alexander took the gloves, his fingertips brushing against the soft material, and his heart stirred. “You too. Take care of yourself,” he said, his voice hoarse. A thousand words ultimately distilled into that single sentence.

Danielle nodded, took a deep breath, and turned to follow Sammie out of the research station. The wind outside had grown stronger, and pellets of ice stung her face. She looked back one last time at the station, at Alexander standing at the entrance watching her go. She silently prayed for the storm to pass safely and for Alexander and the entire team to remain unharmed.

“I thought you would be with her for a long time,” she murmured.

Sammie didn’t respond, merely pressing lightly on the accelerator, and the car picked up a little speed. The cabin lapsed back into a heavy silence. Taking the hint, Danielle closed her mouth and turned to look out the window. Her mind was in turmoil, one part worrying about Alexander’s safety and the unknown dangers of the storm, while another couldn't help but wonder what had happened between Sammie and Rebecca. Rebecca was Alexander's private physician and one of the few people who knew about his condition. Could Sammie’s departure have something to do with Alexander?

Once the thought took root, it grew like a wild vine, leaving her deeply unsettled. But she knew this wasn't the time to dwell on it. The priority was to reach the safety of the city, wait for the storm to pass, and then reunite with Alexander back at the station.
