The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 1192

“Now, let’s confirm the testing procedures…”

Before he could finish, Alexander suddenly spoke up. “The test will proceed as planned, but Danielle needs to evacuate.”

All eyes in the room instantly shifted to Danielle, who was just as stunned as everyone else. She looked up at Alexander, her brow furrowed.

Alexander met her gaze, then pulled her out of the conference room.

“I’m no different from anyone else,” Danielle said firmly. “I don’t need to evacuate.”

Alexander looked at her, his eyes calm and dark. “I’ve already made the arrangements. Sammie will meet you and take you to a nearby city to wait out the storm. You can come back after it passes. This environment is too dangerous, and there’s no reason for you to risk staying here.”

Danielle hesitated, her frown deepening as she prepared to refuse. But Alexander stepped closer, placing his large hands on her shoulders. His tone softened, his dark eyes deep and intense. “Danielle, we can’t tie our lives together in this. We have a daughter.”

His words were like a bucket of cold water, extinguishing any argument she might have had. She stood speechless, staring at him with a mix of emotions. She knew he was doing this for her own good, for Niki, but the thought of leaving him and the rest of the team behind in this danger gnawed at her.

“I had him come in advance,” Alexander explained. “The situation has been complicated lately. Vincent hasn’t given up his designs on the 07 fighter, and I was worried something might happen. I sent Sammie ahead to familiarize himself with the area and the terrain to ensure security during the test. I’ll have more peace of mind knowing he’s the one getting you to safety.”

Danielle fell silent. She knew Alexander’s planning was thorough. Vincent’s methods were ruthless, and they couldn’t afford to be careless. Yet, leaving at a time like this… she couldn’t bring herself to feel at ease. She glanced at the other team members inside the conference room, then back at Alexander’s pale but determined face, her mind a battlefield of conflicting emotions.

Just then, Parham stepped out of the room. “Chief Engineer Crawford, Mr. Davidson is just looking out for you,” he advised gently. “This storm is genuinely dangerous. Staying here, you wouldn’t be able to help much, and it would only distract Mr. Davidson. It’s better to evacuate for now and come back when the storm passes. We’ll keep you updated on the test’s progress.”
