"Mommy, even though Olisha is very pretty and gentle, Anne doesn't want her to stay in our house for too long."
Felicia smiled and asked, "Doe you like Aunt Olisha?"
Anne giggled sweetly. "If Mommy likes her, then I like her."
Olisha possessed a friendly aura that easily attracted the affection of children.
Felicia dropped Anne off at preschool.
Afterward, the chauffeur drove her to the company. Sitting in the car, she turned to look out the window, her expression gradually darkening.
Back when she had arranged for someone to take Olisha to a hotel, Gavin had ignored her messages. She had not bothered to follow up. With so much happening since then, she had long forgotten about Olisha's existence.
She never expected the girl to suddenly show up at Oakridge Estate.
Olisha claimed that Felicia was the one who arranged for her to come here, and clearly, Max believed the same thing.
If Olisha were lying, Max would have seen right through it. Yet, judging by Max's attitude and actions, he fully believed that Felicia had invited Olisha to stay at Oakridge Estate.
Felicia could not quite describe how she felt at this moment.
She had no desire to explain anything to Max.
Since he had silently accepted this woman into their home, it was his own business now. He could decide whether Olisha stayed or left.
But even so, she needed to know who exactly had used her name to send Olisha to Oakridge Estate.
Upon arriving at the office, she took out her phone and called Tommy.
He was the one she had originally tasked with taking Olisha to the hotel.
After giving him some instructions, Felicia threw herself entirely into her work.
With modern AI voice cloning technology, an imitation could easily fool anyone who was not intimately familiar with her voice.
It seemed someone was deliberately pulling strings behind the scenes.
She then contacted Gavin. This time, he picked up the phone. His voice carried its usual frivolous tone. "Evelynn."
"You finally answered the phone."
Gavin chuckled. "Well, Evelynn, didn't you accept Olisha? Let me tell you, Max loves women who are beautiful and simple minded, let alone an absolute stunner like Olisha. Honestly, I am quite fond of her myself. It is a pity she only has eyes for Max. There is nothing I can do, and I don't force people against their will."
Felicia ignored the long tangent at the end of his speech and focused on the main point. "Did Olisha tell you that I accepted her?"
Gavin replied easily. "Yeah. She said she was living at Oakridge Estate and that you arranged for her to stay there. But since you are calling to ask me this, does that mean it wasn't you? Or is Max angry about it?"
Felicia felt a massive headache coming on. "Gavin, from now on, I expect you to ask for my opinion before you do things."
