Today was the last day at Roen Capital. Once the annual party wrapped up, everyone would finally be on vacation.
Felicia kept her eyes on her phone. “We’ll talk about it later,” she said.
Max just nodded. “Whatever works for you.”
Lately, he seemed happy to go along with whatever she wanted.
That night, Roen Capital’s annual gala took place at one of the city’s five-star hotels. All the company’s key partners had been invited.
Greg’s company was one of them, so he arrived with Brock.
It was Felicia’s first time meeting Brock. He was a bit shorter than Greg, maybe around five foot nine, with a lean frame. He didn’t have Greg’s striking looks, but among regular guys, he was definitely above average.
His wealth added a certain charm, too, though it was obvious money had pulled him into a lifestyle of parties and late nights.
Standing next to Greg, the difference between them was almost comical.
Felicia smiled at her brother. “Hey, Greg.”
Greg nodded in greeting.
The second Brock laid eyes on Felicia, his whole expression changed. He couldn’t hide the surprise in his eyes. “Greg, Evelynn is your sister? You never mentioned her. You kept this secret pretty well.”
He’d already noticed her earlier when some people were stopping to say hello. Of course, he’d heard about Evelynn before.
He’d seen her on TV, but in person, she was even more breathtaking.
What really shocked him was that she was Greg’s sister.
Greg had once invited Brock over for dinner, but Felicia had still been in college then, so they never crossed paths.
Brock already knew a bit about Greg’s family.
