Chapter 3306
“I see.”
Harvey nodded. He thought that the Longmen Summit would have something else going on.
At the end of the day, it was just another martial arts tournament.
Harvey shook his head.
“It’s not that I don’t care about your request, Elder Torres, but I’m not interested in such things.”
“I’m afraid I won’t be able to help you with that.”
Colton smiled upon seeing Harvey’s disinterest.
“Actually, I think you’ll have to participate.”
“Hmmm?”
Harvey was confused; it didn’t matter if he went to an event like that or not. Why was Colton so sure that he’d have to go?
There were already a lot of things in Harvey’s mind. Harvey really didn’t care about something like the tournament.
“According to my sources, the master of Longmen, Samuel Bauer, is critically ill. He’ll die at any minute.”
“If he does die, both Longmen and the Bauer family will be in utter chaos.”
“They need someone with absolute authority to take control.”
“If not, Country H’s underworld will cause an uproar after Longmen falls.”
“As the head of Longmen’s Law Enforcement, this is your responsibility.”
Harvey wasn’t surprised that Colton knew that he was the lead of Law Enforcement.
“Are you serious?” Harvey asked with a frown.
“Samuel’s really about to die?”
“He’s critically ill even with all that strength? You’re kidding, right?”
“Of course not. You think Rudolph was only here to check in on me?”
“I’m just a sideshow, at the end of the day.”
But as Colton said, Country H’s stability depended on Samuel’s life.
After taking a deep breath, Harvey managed to regain his calm.
“Can’t the royal court deal with this instead?”
“Why should I join the Longmen Summit in the first place?”
“What happens here should stay here.”
Colton sighed.
“Scholars and martial artists use their skills to challenge the law. The saying isn’t just for show.”
“The situation will get a lot worse if the royal court gets involved.”
“We need someone with the strength to rise!”
“For example, you.”
“If you do, both Longmen and the Bauer family’s crises will disappear in an instant.”
