The Rise of a Master It Starts With Rejection novel Chapter 944

Felix did not dare to sprint recklessly, knowing that if he caught the attention of a true powerhouse, things could spiral out of control.

In Martial City, he had to tread carefully. Xena had warned him that while killing was forbidden within city limits, anything outside was fair game, and no one would care.

"The spiritual energy here is so dense—it's worth the trip," Felix muttered, marveling at the environment.

Back in the capital, his current level left him with no clear path forward unless he obtained a Dragonspine, which was nearly impossible. Absorbing spiritual energy there was futile due to its scarcity—it would take years to make any progress.

Although Gerald's medical book mentioned pills as a way to advance, the higher the grade, the rarer the ingredients.

For instance, after the martial arts competition, Felix contacted Yasmin to refine a pill, but three key ingredients no longer existed. Despite years of searching, even Qualls Pharmaceutical had not found a trace of them.

Martial City, however, was different. The dense spiritual energy here fostered unique plant growth, making it likely that extinct herbs from the capital still existed in this region.

That was why the headquarters insisted he come to Martial City—without its resources, achieving greatness would be an uphill battle.

After walking for over half an hour, Felix sighed bitterly, realizing someone was quickly closing in on him. Bound by his disguise as an ordinary person, he did not dare look back.

"Why am I so unlucky? Martial City is massive, yet trouble keeps finding me right after I arrive. Can't you people bother someone else?

Suddenly, a powerful gust of wind whooshed past, and someone shot ahead of him. A loud explosion followed, and the figure was hurled through the air, landing 30 feet in front of Felix.

Grinning wickedly, he added, "Killing a woman like you without enjoying the moment first would be such a waste."

As Bobby's eyes drifted to Felix, who had been quietly walking away, his grin twisted into a sneer. "Hey, kid. You saw me kill someone, and now you think you can just stroll off? Think again."

Felix froze and turned back, his face pale as he forced a groveling smile. "Please, sir, I'm nothing to you—just an ant. I didn't see anything, I swear. Let me go. I beg you."

Bobby smirked. "At least you know your place. But the thing is, I love stepping on losers. So, what do you think I should do?"

Felix's submissive demeanor vanished in an instant, replaced by a cold, resigned expression. "Are you really going to kill me? This is your last chance to reconsider."
