"I-isn't that a little sudden?" asked George.
Shaun smiled and said, "Not really. My dad has wanted to retire for a while. He's exhausted after working for so long. Due to my hard work and some other circumstances, it's reasonable for him to retire now.
"Of course, no one else knows about this yet, and you guys are probably the first to find out. However, I'm sure everyone in Bellington will know about it soon."
George had a feeling that something felt off, but he couldn't tell what it was.
However, the truth was that Shaun was really the heir of the Baxter family. For that reason alone, George couldn't afford to offend him at all.
Since Shaun liked Audrey, they might even get married. Then, the Weiss family would reach new heights. With that thought in mind, George's eyes lit up immediately, and he was overjoyed.
"Mr. Baxter, let me know if you need anything. The Weiss family and I will do our best to provide you assistance," he said.
Shaun laughed. "There's no need for that, Mr. Weiss. After all, I've just taken over as the head of the family, so there's no need to be so serious. It'll make me feel comfortable, and I'm worried other people might feel the same.
"Let's just take it slow. As I've said, we're all close friends here. So, we can just help each other."
Suddenly, Audrey was left alone in the room with Shaun.
He immediately looked excitedly and looked at her with a chuckle. "Aren't you happy for me, Audrey? I'm now the head of the Baxter family! Haha! I've never expected this to happen at all. Now, you can't reject me anymore, right? After all, if you're with me, you'll be Mrs. Baxter in the future!"
At that moment, Audrey looked at him and said nonchalantly, "Congratulations on becoming the head of your family, Mr. Baxter. So, can we drop Nolan's matter now? Have you talked to Mr. Lynch? Is Nolan safe now?"
Shaun immediately looked upset.
