The price of betrayal (Jack and Ashley) novel Chapter 130

Kara walked to another table in the bar and saw a young man drinking with a dozen men.

She greeted him. "Hey, Hunter. Are you ready?"

The young man stood up with a smile. "I would never dare to go against your orders, Kara. Don't worry. I've already arranged everything, and we can strike at any moment. So, what's the plan? Are we doing it right now?"

She shook her head. "No. I still need to get some evidence. When I'm done, I'll send you the signal. Then, you can come over to us and cause a scene."

When Hunter heard that, he smiled. "It looks like that's a huge grudge between you two, Kara. Otherwise, you wouldn't be this cruel."

She chuckled coldly. "You got that right. I hate him a lot. Don't worry about it, and just wait for my signal later."

After she was done talking to him, she returned to her table.

At that moment, she felt excited. She thought that she was about to expose Nolan's true colors soon.

She also thought that she could get revenge for Audrey and Megan at the same time. So, she was feeling ecstatic.

When she reached her table again, she watched as Kitty and Dipsy persuaded Nolan to drink nonstop. However, he didn't do it at all.

Kara got frustrated. "You two are useless, aren't you? Why can't you even make him drink? This is so embarrassing!"

Dipsy wasn't bothered because she didn't want to drink anyway. Instead, she was only messing around with Kara and didn't want to miss out on the fun.

However, Kitty was upset. She just picked up a bottle of beer and looked at Nolan.

"Besides, I was the one who brought you here. If I told her about this, she'd know that I went to a bar. I'm not going to do something that'll hurt myself, so you can rest assured."

Nolan nodded. "You're still young, so you shouldn't come to places like this all the time. Even if you want to drink, you should do it moderately. Audrey is right to watch out for you, so you'll have to watch out for yourself in the future as well."

He was lecturing her as if he was really her cousin-in-law, which instantly made her upset.

She said, "It looks like even alcohol can't shut you up, Nolan. Stop lecturing me. What makes you think you can do that? You don't have the right to lecture me when you've been to jail before. This is ridiculous!"

She wasn't hiding her disdain and anger for him at all, and her words were always hurtful.

When Nolan heard what she said, he wasn't angry. He just looked at her and said, "Since you don't like me, you could've ignored me. So, why did you look for me?"
