At the sound of the command, the bodyguards at the entrance burst inside, guns raised and aimed straight at the black Hummer, determined to bring it to a stop.

When the dust settled, the Hummer was untouched. The only casualties were the bodyguards who’d been knocked aside in the chaos.

Rena’s voice cut through the noise. "Useless fools. You can't even stop a single car!" She watched Charlotte’s wild move, then caught the soft look Anthony gave her. Rena clenched her fists, her eyes burning with anger. "I don't care what it takes. Get her. Now!"

Before her words even faded, the Hummer roared forward, smashing through tables and barreling straight toward Aloys and Rena.

The Hummer was too fast to block. The bodyguards had no choice but to jump out of the way.

Nobody had time to process what was happening. The car doors swung open. Three people jumped out in quick succession.

One of them—a tall, slender woman—landed perfectly in Anthony's arms.

Anthony’s expression tightened. He kicked a bodyguard aside, pulling Charlotte safely against his chest. With her held close, he spun around, putting himself between her and the flying bullets.

He quickly raised his gun, pointing it straight at Aloys. At the same moment, Jackson and Adonis pulled their own weapons, stepping in front of Anthony and Charlotte. Both of them scanned the room, ready for anything.
