The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1888

"See? Am I kind or what?!"

The students looked utterly miserable. Not a single trace of joy remained.

Three massive volumes on traditional medicine to be read in two days, plus a two-thousand-word paper.

With that, Charlotte straightened up and walked out of the classroom.

The second she stepped out the door, the students practically trampled each other in a mad dash toward the library.

They were going to go through hell over the next forty-eight hours.

The meet-and-greet was over.

That afternoon, Charlotte headed back to Kingswood University for her own classes. She had briefly confirmed her teaching schedule with Wallace.

Three times a week, two hours per session.

"As for your compensation..." Wallace smiled nervously. "Asclepius, you name the price!"

He was too afraid to make an offer, fearing it might be insulting.

After all...

Asclepius could demand an astronomical salary and it would still be completely justified.

"We can talk about that later." Charlotte brushed it off before adding, "The equipment in the traditional medicine lab isn't up to par. I had someone send over a new batch. Judging by the time, they should be arriving soon."

What?

A new batch of equipment?

Before Wallace could ask for details, Charlotte waved dismissively and walked toward Anthony.

Watching the two of them walk away, trailed by bodyguards, he didn't dare chase after her.

Sure enough, not long after.

A subordinate came running in, wiping cold sweat from his forehead. "Wallace, a delivery of medical equipment just arrived outside."

When Wallace went out to check, his knees practically buckled.

"Did Asclepius send all of this?"

These weren't standard lab instruments. They were the absolute latest research technology from The Blair Group's medical division.

Any single piece of equipment easily cost millions, if not tens of millions of dollars.

Even though The Cabinda University was a prestigious, century-old institution, the medical school didn't possess anything nearly this expensive.

Let alone getting this many machines all at once.

"The delivery crew said there are four machines in total. Two are for the modern medicine department, and the rest are for the traditional medicine class.
