The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1885

No one dared to make a sound. They all stood rigidly in place, engaging in a wide-eyed staring contest.

After several beats of suffocating silence, Charlotte lowered her gaze, crunched down on her candy, and casually tossed the stick into the trash can.

"You all..."

"Asclepius, what are your orders?"

The moment she opened her mouth, the president of Kingswood University practically launched himself forward, his wrinkled face plastered with a blindingly sincere smile.

"You must be exhausted, right?" As he spoke, he hastily pulled out a chair, beaming. "Why don't we sit down and talk?"

Faced with such an incredibly awkward display, Charlotte awkwardly ruffled her hair. "Sure."

She walked over and casually sank into the chair.

Only after she was seated did the executives finally dare to sit back down.

The wooden chair was stiff and rather uncomfortable. After a few seconds, Charlotte shifted her weight, preparing to adjust her posture.

However, the split second she lifted herself off the cushion, the surrounding executives—who had just managed to sit—reacted as if they had been electrocuted, uniformly springing back to their feet.

Caught in a half-squat, Charlotte was completely bewildered.

"Asclepius, is there something you need?" the president asked with breathless concern.

"No." Charlotte pressed her lips together and slowly lowered herself back down, muttering, "You guys don't need to be so tense."

"Understood."

The president let out a nervous chuckle before glaring at his subordinates, barking out a strict order. "You heard Asclepius! No one is allowed to be tense!"

"Yes, yes, of course."

The executives nodded furiously, sitting with their backs ramrod straight, maintaining standard, terrified smiles that looked like they might permanently freeze their facial muscles.

Charlotte pursed her lips, her expression caught somewhere between exasperation and amusement.

The moment the news dropped last night, Kingswood University had shattered the internet. The school had already gained massive notoriety recently thanks to Charlotte's various triumphs, prompting countless students to inquire about admissions.

But now, their reputation was permanently cemented in history!

Kingswood University's admission cutoffs were guaranteed to skyrocket this year. They had to take impeccable care of this lucky star.

"Huh?"

Listening to the president and Glenn, Charlotte's gaze cooled. "Just treat me normally. There's no need for special treatment."

"Yes, whatever you say."

Flashing a brilliant smile, Glenn offered a few more rounds of flattery and immense praise before finally escorting her respectfully out of the office.

"Asclepius."

Just before parting ways, Glenn took a few quick steps forward, speaking cautiously. "I know you suffered a great injustice over at The Cabinda University. But..."
