The Mocked Miss’s Hidden Crowns novel Chapter 1058

Adonis couldn’t help but shiver as he thought about the kind of chaos this misunderstanding would cause.

“It’s fine,” Charlotte said, her lips curling up in a small smile that never quite faded from her eyes. “When the time comes, I’ll set the record straight for him.”

Jackson and Adonis glanced at each other. Set the record straight? Was Charlotte finally going to tell everyone about their relationship?

The idea made them both a little giddy. Anthony had waited so long for this. He was finally going to get the recognition he deserved. It hadn’t been easy.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the airport, Hans noticed a few people sneaking photos and leaned over to ask if he should make them delete the pictures and videos.

Anthony stood there, still as a statue. The harsh airport lights made his tall figure seem even more lonely and out of place.

“No need,” he finally said, voice low and quiet after a few seconds. “If my reputation really gets ruined, I’ll just make Charlotte take responsibility for me.”

At that point, everyone would have to know he was Charlotte’s boyfriend.

. . .

By six in the evening, their plane touched down smoothly on the Isle of Veil.

Outside on the tarmac, a long row of black cars waited. Each one had “The Hawk Family” written in big letters on the doors. Dozens of men in black suits stood outside, hands clasped behind their backs, making the whole scene look like something out of a movie.

“Dad, are you sure Asclepius is actually coming?” Marcia asked, frowning as she waited to greet their guest.

“We’ll find out soon enough,” Aloys replied, his voice cold as he fixed his eyes on the plane.

“If he’s so rich, why doesn’t he have his own private jet?” Rena muttered next to Marcia. “What if he’s just a fake?”
