I stared in shock at the scene before me.
Inside the car, Abigail's brows were tightly furrowed, clearly unhappy about me being with Blair in this setting.
"Get over here."
Abigail's commanding tone over the phone made me feel extremely uneasy. It was as if I were her dog, with no room for resistance.
As I hung up the phone and prepared to get out of the car, Blair suddenly grabbed my hand and asked, "What are you going to do?"
"What I do should be none of your business, Ms. Shepherd."
I looked at her calmly, smiling faintly as I said, "After all, I'm not your puppet, and I don't have time to waste here with you."
I was being quite straightforward.
I didn't want to be tangled up with Blair, so I wanted to shake her off as quickly as possible, which was why I used those words on her.
To my surprise, Blair didn't seem angry at all.
She smirked and locked the car doors, pressed the accelerator, and drove away with me inside.
I stared at her in bewilderment and asked, "What are you doing?"
She didn't let me out of the car and drove off instead! What was this unreasonable behavior?
I seriously doubted Blair's thought process. What was the point of her abducting me like this?
However, what was even worse was that Abigail was actually chasing us!
I stared at Blair in shock, realizing she had no intention of stopping.
In fact, she floored the accelerator, and the car sped up rapidly.
I instinctively grabbed the door handle, looking at her in disbelief as I asked, "Blair, what do you want? Can you please just let me out?"
My head hit the windshield, making a sharp, muffled sound.
"Damn it." Blair frowned as she stared ahead.
Following her gaze, I saw Abigail stepping out of her car with a dark expression.
She walked up to the door and angrily tapped on the window.
Blair glanced at her casually, then lowered the window.
She smirked at her and asked, "Oh, isn't this Ms. Bardot? Do you need something from me?"
"Don't ask stupid questions."
Abigail was so fed up by Blair's nonchalance that she almost laughed.
She pointed at me in the passenger seat and coldly asked, "What does it have to do with you that I'm looking for my husband? Why are you taking him away?"
