Seeing that I was still thinking, Blair raised an eyebrow and smiled at me, saying, "You'd better be a bit more casual and straightforward. Otherwise, if someone sees us talking together like this, it might look more ambiguous."
I felt I couldn't hesitate any longer after listening to Blair's words.
After all, her status was indeed special.
If my indecision led to us being misunderstood and it ended up online, Abigail would have another reason to humiliate and torment me.
So, I quickly opened the car door and sat in the passenger seat.
Blair seemed quite pleased with my response.
Once I was in the car, she immediately stepped on the gas and drove away from the place.
A cold wind rushed in as I looked at Blair curiously and asked, "Why did you look for me? What's the matter?
"I think that after our collaboration ends, there's really no need for us to keep in touch. I don't understand why you still want to see me."
For some reason, Blair reminded me of Abigail.
They both seemed to be the kind of person who would relentlessly pursue something they set their sights on and never let go.
Her entanglement with me was quite unpleasant.
"Who says that once the collaboration ends, we have to cut off all contact? Can't we have any other relationship besides that of collaborators? For example... friends?"
As Blair spoke, she raised an eyebrow and looked at me with a smile. "What? Are you worried that Abigail will get jealous if she finds out about us?"
I was left speechless by her words.
I replied casually, "Everything has been resolved as planned. You don't need to threaten me like that."
"Are you with Blair?" Abigail suddenly asked.
Her words left me stunned, and I hesitated as I looked around, searching for Abigail's figure.
Didn't she say she had something to do and told me to handle the event myself?
How did she know I was with Blair?
Was she watching me from nearby, monitoring my every move?
At that moment, Blair let out a laugh and pointed to a sports car across the street. "Do you see that? She's followed you all the way here. Is this what you call a divorce in the works?"
