The Marriage She Turned into War novel Chapter 325

Before leaving, I sent a message to Abigail telling her that I'd be going to Ferton with Hanson today and asked her not to worry about me.

Back when Abigail and I were dating, we'd always inform each other about where we went.

But after our marriage, my updates became a burden to her. She had lost her temper over this more than once, saying she didn't care where I went. She told me not to contact her for no reason, claiming that it was irritating.

However, when I finally broke this habit, she began reminiscing about how I used to be. I found it absolutely laughable. All of my efforts were just trampled like they were worthless garbage.

Abigail didn't respond to my message, so I put my phone away and headed straight to Hanson's house.

Once I got in the car, he passed me a bottle of water and asked with a smile, "How have you been feeling lately? I heard that you've been coming to the company a lot. You seem to be in good spirits."

I smiled and nodded. "Thanks for asking, Mr. Jigman. I do feel much better now."

"Good to hear that," he replied. Then, he quickly added, "If you feel unwell, let me know immediately, and I'll take you to the hospital for a checkup."

His concern warmed my heart.

Even my mentor cared that much about me. Yet, my wife… What had she done for me?

All she ever did was throw out casual remarks, showing no concern for what I had been through or my reputation. And she also ignored my illness entirely.

Even when I laid my feelings bare for her, she treated it like a joke.

I was quite surprised when I saw the person at the center of everyone's attention. It was none other than Joshua.

Dressed in a luxurious suit with impeccably styled hair and a pair of glasses, he exuded a refined and scholarly air.

I was caught off guard. Never would I have expected to see him at an event like this. For some reason, my heart skipped a beat.

I had a feeling that I would see someone else I knew in the crowd. As the image took shape in my mind, in the next moment, that image materialized before my eyes.

Abigail entered the room, elegantly dressed and holding Joshua's arm as they walked in together.
