The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family novel Chapter 4011

Very soon. Gopher diligently brought a tray of colorful chips to Charlie.

The value of the chips started from one hundred Canadian dollars, and it went up t o five hundred and one thousand dollars.

He handed the chips over to Charlie with a n oily smile. "Here, your chips!"

Charlie nodded and waved his hand without a care, saying indifferently, “You hold it."

"I..." Gopher was stunned. Once again, anger boiled in him.

Charlie took five one-thousand-dollar chips and stuffed them into Gopher's pocket, saying casually, “Don't worry, I won't let you work in vain."

Gopher's anger vanished as a stunned expression colored his face. He immediately assumed Charlie to be an avid gambler who had been around casinos all year round. In fact, Charlie was so generous that he was already giving Gopher a tip of five thousand Canadian dollars! Gopher hurriedly put on a flattering grin and said, "Oh! Thank you so much, Mr. Wade!”

He started treating Charlie with utmost politeness, to the point of addressing Charlie as Mr. Wade.

Charlie waved his hand gently in response, still nonchalant. He picked up another stack of chips and shook them, making crisp plastic tapping sounds as he did so. "S o tell me. What are the fun games here?"

Gopher held the chip tray and explained with a wide grin, "Mr. Wade, we have all kinds of games here. Craps, blackjack, roulette, baccarat, you name it! They're all very popular in North America. Domino poker, which I know that Oskians enjoy playing, has recently become very popular: n Vancouver in recent years. Many foreigners have begun playing it."

He then added, "If you want to play golden poker, I can arrange it for you."

Charlie nodded. "No, let's play domino poker. I like domino poker. It’s simple, hassle-free, and a no-brainer."

Gopher was quick to agree. “Right you are, Mr. Wade! This way, please."

A dealer with European features stood at the domino poker. Around him were three foreigners who were playing with great enthusiasm.

So saying, he threw a thousand US dollars’ worth of chips in and said indifferently," Come on. Let's start.”

Gopher, who was standing behind Charlie, took a step back and winked silently at the dealer.

The dealer instantly understood the implication behind Gopher’s gesture and began shuffling the cards.

Charlie got a pair of heavenly cards in the first hand with ease and he won a thousand US dollars on his first try.

At this, he gave a triumphant smile. "Looks like Lady Luck is smiling upon me tonight! I'm off to a good start."

He then counted another three thousand U S dollars' worth of chips and threw in five thousand US dollars in one hand, combining his capital with the profit that h e had just made.
