she continued her way down the hallway, her heart thudded in her chest. so the man is not a figment of her imagination, he was real.very real and his photo is in Nik's house, well Elijah's. mia's head starts to hurt as she thought about the nightmare she had, the man in the photo meant something to Elijah and he hurt mia when she was little. who was he?. mia reached downstairs, her mind flooded with different scenarios. she was so caught with her thoughts she didn't realize nik walk up to her. "kitten" nik calls her snapping her out of her thoughts. "wh-what!" mia says blinking a few times.

nik narrows his eyes examing her, his eyes filled with concern. "are you okay, kitten?" nik asks her and mia gives him a wary smile "yeah, I'm good" mia replies and nik looks at her for some time as if reading her then nods. mia shakes her head then bites her lip "actually, I have a question" she says and nik nods as a gesture to her to go on. "who was the man in the picture? in the hallway with a dark blonde woman and a baby?" mia asks him, nik takes a sharp breath and runs his hand through his hair. "its Elijah's father" nik says and mia's eyes widen. "wait, Elijah?" mia says and nik nods "we are half brothers" nik says then looks at her "why are you asking?" nik asks her, mia hums "i-i was just curious, he was only there in one picture" mia says and nik nods.

Elijah's father was the man in her dreams? and he threw knives at her? and her family? if they were. but Archer said they have died in an accident, was he lying if he was. why? did he need to lie? she couldn't understand what was going on. she needed a drink from the information she just received. "I need a drink," she says playing with her fingers, nik nods and grabs a drink from a nearby table. he gives it to mia and she chugs it down. nik chuckles "Woah, there slow down kitten," nik says grabbing her arm. mia felt a familiar burn in her throat. she felt the buzz in her head making her sigh, she felt a bit better. but she needed more.

"NIK!" she hears Marcus yell and nik looks at mia. "I will be back, stay here. don't move." what am I? a dog? she thought as she grabbed another drink, it was vodka. she drowned it down, and another and another. she felt her mind become hazy, she hiccupped then giggled. mia grabbed another bottle stumbling as she felt hot, she saw some brownies and smiled.

she took one and munched on it while giggling, mia took another one and took a bite and swing of vodka. she smiled enjoying the taste of the brownie. mia reached the backyard, there weren't many people there, just a few guys smoking and a couple playing tonsil hockey.

she laid on her back under a tree, looking at the stars. she sat up when she smelt some pizza. she was hungry, very hungry.

she walked towards the couple who were busy eating each other's faces. mia swiftly took the box of pizza and started walking away. mia took a pizza and took a huge bite, the cheese getting all over her mouth. "hey!" mia heard a gruff voice and turned around to look at the guy. he was now standing and his lady friend was crossing her arms. "what?" mia asks chewing the pizza.

"give back the pizza," he says and mia raises her brow "what pizza?' she asks and he gestures to the box in her hand. "the pizza in your hand," the guy says and mia frowns "my hand?" she says and he nods. "yes your hand which has the pizza," the guy says and mia raises her brow "what pizza?" she says eating another slice. the guy takes a step forward but his friend stops him. "the pizza you are now eating" the guy breaths out. "I'm eating?" she says and the guy nods "yes, you are eating the pizza," he says and mia cocks her head to the right side. "what pizza?" she asks again. they guy's nostrils flare and he lets out a growl like a wolf and lunges at her, he stops in mid-air as someone pushes him away. "okay buddy, calm down now." Xavier says pushing him away.

mia looks at the scene before she eats the pizza. he warns the guy and turns back to face mia. the guy walks away and Xavier raises an eyebrow at her. "hey xavy" mia says with a giggle. xavier's eyes widen and he studies mia, series of emotions pass his eyes, it was gone as fast as they came. mia walks back to the tree" mia! wait" Xavier calls running up to her, she takes a seat under the tree. she crushes the brownie on the pizza. she takes another sip of the vodka and eats the pizza. Xavier watches her closely as he takes a seat next to her." mia" he calls her and she hums looking at him with a lazy smile."xavy.xavy.xavy" mia sings bobbing her head. xavier's lip turns up a little "oh christ, are you high?" Xavier asks and mia shakes her head "no I am mia" she answers and Xavier chuckles shaking his head "how high are you?" he asks and mia points her finger at him shaking it "No xavy, it's hi how are you?" mia says and Xavier rolls his eyes.

mia gives Xavier a slice of pizza. who takes a bite and chokes. his eyes widen and he snatches the box away from mia."xavy! give me the pizza" mia slurs and Xavier shakes his head. "you had enough. now give me the bottle" Xavier says sternly taking the vodka bottle. "but xavy!" mia whines attempting to get the bottle. "No mia," Xavier states giving her a stern glare. mia pouts crossing her arms, looking straight ahead. "mia? come on now" Xavier says bumping his shoulder to hers. "xavy" mia says and Xavier looks at her "If someone dies in a living room, is it still a living room?" mia asks looking at him, Xavier rolls his eyes "yes mia it is still a living room" she nods then gasps "xavy do you know the brain named itself," mia says her eyes wide. Xavier stares at her then laughs "you are so high mia" he says and mia frowns at him "we are on the ground silly" mia says slapping his shoulder.

she started humming a nursery rhyme and Xavier watched her with amusement. "mia?" she hears someone call. mia looks around and grins running up and hugging nik. "Nikk" she slurs giggling. nik secures his arms around her "mia? are you high?" he asks grabbing her face and examining it. he breaths out muttering some colorful words. "Mr. Sherman?" nik says keeping his arm around mia. "Mr knight," Xavier says looking blankly at him. "what are you doing here," nik asks as mia traces the tattoos on his nik, he shivers under her touch and pulls her hand away. "stop it," nik says looking down at her, she pouts at him and nik sighs leaving her hand. mia giggles and traces her finger on the tattoos.

"I was invited," Xavier says standing up, he pushes his hands in his jeans, he was wearing a white shirt with sleeves rolled up." Nikk" mia mumbles and he raises an eyebrow at her "hi!" she says with a grin. he chuckles bobbing her nose "hi kitten" he says, mia gives him a frown and bobs his nose. she leans in and kisses his jaw. nik,s breath hitches and he pushes her away quickly "okay none of that" nik says pointing his finger to her. mia leans in and takes his finger in her mouth, his eyes darken as she looks up at him removing her lips around his finger. he shakes his head as if snapping himself out of it. nik shakes his head at her and she leans closer to him, liking the body heat, she feels her eyes close and nik notices "let's get you to bed" nik says lifting her bridal style. he smiles a little as she tries to stay awake cuddling closer to him.

"grab her," The cruel man says gesturing to the woman. she screams and the man fights against the restrainers. few men make her bend in the middle of the dungeon and the man walks up to her "hello, my sweet Lucia" the cruel man says crouching in front of her. "you know, we can end this, I can kill Alejandro and you're little spawns just promise to be by side" the man says touching her chin and lifting her face. his expression darkens "who did this!" he snarls standing up making the five-year-old jump. the teenager soothes her, tears escaping from his eyes. the 10-year-old cuddles next to his brother, Enzo puts his arm around him and the little girl.

"I asked who did this" he yells again and a man steps forward "I'm sorry-" the man wasn't able to finish as a bullet shoots in his head, killing him. the sound makes the little girl cry again and the teenager rubs his arm up and down, kissing her head. "nobody hurts her, but me! you hear that! nobody" the man snarls then kneels and rubs the back of his hand on her swollen cheek. "just accept me, Lucia," the man says and the woman smiles, making him smile, he leans closer and she spits in his face "fuck you," she says with a glare. the man snarls getting up and wiping the spit off his face. he laughs and backhands her. "luce" the man yells as she gets up with a bloody lip.

the cruel man looks at the little girl making the teenager tighten his arm around her, he tears away from his grasp, kicking the teenager in his face. "MIA" he yells getting up to get kicked in the face again. the little girl cries terrified "mia!" the man yells along with the woman and the child. he punches the little girl in her face making her wince and cries out. "leave her alone!" the man and the teenager yell. he laughs and grabs a whip. "don't you dare, Sebastian, I swear I will cut every muscle in your body and pluck out each bone and burn you" the man threatens as he raises the whip and hit the little girl, she screams as her flesh tears open. "mia" the man yells fighting against the restraints, the teenager gets up only to get kicked in the leg.

he whips her again making the little girl scream and wail louder. he just laughs and whips again and again. the girl screams louder, her dress now torn and red. her eyes bloodshot and skin red. "stay the fuck away from her" the man yells again as the little girl weeps. he picks her up and throws her against the wall next to the man. she cries out at the impact followed by the yell of the man next to her. the cruel man's phone rings and he picks it up, walking out of the room.

"mi niña pequeña" (my babygirl) the man crocks gently picking her up with his arm and placing her on his lap. "shh mi princesa. (My princess) he soothes kissing her head, tears escaped from his eyes as the little girl looked up at him "it hurts" she cries as he comforts her "shh baby" he whispers in her ear kissing her nose. the girl cries against his chest as he pulls her closer, trying not to touch the wounds. "Lo sé, conozco a mi bebé. se ha ido Ahora ... no te hará daño ... cálmate bebé Estoy aquí princesa mi bebé papá está aquí" (I know, I know my baby. it's gone now ... it won't hurt you ... calm down baby I'm here princess my baby daddy is here) he soothes her.

mia gasps awake, breathing heavily. she runs her hand through her hair and closes her eyes and breaths out. the cruel man was Elijah's father and the other one was her father, was he really her father?
