The King Of Warriors novel (Jared Chance) novel Chapter 6670

Jared nodded.

"Thank you, Lord Morgrave. And thank you to everyone from the Southern Wasteland Demon Marches. Without your help, dealing with Corvin would not have been so easy."

Caiden waved it off.

"Sir, please do not say that. Helping you is an honor for the Southern Wasteland Demon Marches. Besides, killing a top celestial expert like Corvin benefits all demonic cultivators."

Master Veridian shook blood from his hand and walked over with a grin.

"Mr. Chance, what about my entrance today? Flashy enough?"

Jared looked at him and smiled.

"Very flashy. 'Hey, Golden bird, take my palm' sounded better than last time."

"Of course."

Master Veridian stroked his beard proudly. "I practiced it several times after we went back."

Gwendolyn walked to Jared and took his hand.

Her icy-blue eyes were full of worry.

"You are hurt."

Jared looked down at himself.

His shoulder was burned. His arm was blackened in several places. A palm mark remained on his chest, and there was still blood at the corner of his mouth.

He looked miserable, but most of the wounds were shallow.

Nothing serious.

"Small injuries. One day of rest will be enough."

Caiden stepped forward.

"Sir, we should not stay in Soul Burial Valley. The smell of blood is too strong. Demon beasts and outlaws will be drawn here soon. Let us return to Shadowfell City first so you can recover."

Jared nodded.

"All right."

Caiden turned to the demonic cultivators.

"Collect the Storage Rings and arcane implements from the Golden Crow clansmen. Then withdraw."

The demonic cultivators moved with practiced speed, stripping the spoils from the bodies.

Jared stood where he was and looked toward the far horizon.

A deep light flashed in his violet eyes.

Corvin was dead.

The Golden Crow clan was finished.

The celestial forces in the Nineteenth Firmament were no longer much of a threat.

Next was Inferno Devil Ridge.

Josephine, wait for me.

...

The Twentieth Firmament.

The Celestial High Temple.

A vast palace floated above the clouds. It had been built entirely from golden divine stone, shining under the sun like a light that would never fall.

Clouds and mist wrapped around the palace. Golden lightning occasionally threaded through them, letting out low rumbles.

That was the temple's protective grand array. It could withstand a full-force attack from an Immortal King.

At the center of the Celestial High Temple stood a golden hall more than a hundred yards tall.

The hall was vast and solemn.

Ancient celestial totems and inscriptions covered the walls. Golden light moved slowly through every line, releasing an old and sacred pressure.

In the middle of the hall stood a divine throne raised above nine golden steps.
