The Heartbreak Prescription (by Glazed Snow) novel Chapter 1117

**Chapter 1117**

Nathan’s gaze bore into Ivy with an intensity that made her heart race. “I don’t have any protection here,” he stated, his tone serious, leaving no room for misinterpretation.

Ivy’s breath caught in her throat momentarily. So, he had finally acknowledged the absence of condoms in the house. It was a small victory, but she had other plans that didn’t require such precautions.

In truth, she had every intention of getting pregnant. The thought of it filled her with a mixture of excitement and determination.

With a gentle yet firm gesture, Ivy wrapped her arms around him, drawing him closer. “It’s fine,” she reassured him, her voice soft and inviting.

Nathan, however, pushed her back slightly, creating a distance that felt almost palpable. “No. You could get pregnant,” he replied, a hint of concern lacing his words.

Ivy tilted her face upward, searching his eyes for a deeper understanding. “You don’t like kids?” she asked, curiosity piqued.

A muscle in Nathan’s brow twitched, revealing his discomfort. “Not really. And I’m definitely not ready to be a dad,” he admitted, his voice steady but edged with apprehension.

“What if I did get pregnant?” Ivy whispered, her heart pounding at the audacity of her question.

“Which is why we need to be careful,” Nathan answered without hesitation, his expression serious.

In that moment, Ivy grasped the truth behind his words. He didn’t want her to bear his child.

This realization settled heavily on her shoulders. If she were to become pregnant, it would be imperative to keep it a secret from him, at least for the time being.

But deep down, she didn’t care. Once he had planted the seed, everything else would fall into place.

With a calm demeanor, she declared, “I won’t get pregnant. I’m in my safe window.”

Nathan hesitated, uncertainty flickering in his eyes. “Are you sure?” he asked, doubt creeping into his voice.

Of course, she wasn’t sure. She was weaving a web of lies right before his eyes.

Ivy looked at him with a façade of sincerity, her heart racing. “Of course. I don’t want to get pregnant, either,” she insisted, her voice steady.

Then, rising onto her toes, she pressed her lips against his throat, trailing kisses up to his mouth, igniting a fire between them. “Give it to me. Please?” she pleaded, her voice a sultry whisper.
