The Heartbreak Prescription (by Glazed Snow) novel Chapter 1091

**TITLE: My Dad Please Come 1091**

Stanley was resolute in his desire to take Wendy home with him.

As she reached out, her arms enveloped him, pulling him into a warm embrace.

He responded instinctively, drawing her closer, as if he wished to fuse their very beings into one. The thought of being apart from her again was unbearable; he couldn’t fathom a future that didn’t include her by his side.

Yet, reality loomed over them like a dark cloud. They had to part ways. Wendy couldn’t just accompany him back to his world, not now.

He could choose to ignore the ache in his heart and pursue her, but she couldn’t remain a passive observer as he spiraled deeper into this turmoil.

“I’m leaving,” Wendy declared, her voice steady as she began to loosen her grip on him.

With a heavy heart, she opened the car door, stepped out into the night, and started walking away.

“Wendy!” Stanley called out, urgency lacing his voice as he scrambled out of the car to follow her.

But she didn’t turn around. She didn’t even glance back, her silhouette growing smaller as she walked further away.

A sense of despair washed over Stanley, darkening his expression. He leaned weakly against the car, feeling the weight of defeat settle on his shoulders like a heavy cloak. In a moment of solitude, he pulled out a cigarette, lit it, and inhaled deeply, letting the smoke curl into the chilly air, hoping it would somehow ease the turmoil within him.

Just then, Zayn approached him, breaking the silence. “Mr. Hawk, where should we go now?”

Stanley exhaled slowly, the smoke drifting away, but his lips remained sealed. The question hung in the air, unanswered, as he battled with his thoughts.

Meanwhile, as Wendy made her way home, her phone rang. It was Bella.

“Mommy!” Bella’s sweet voice chimed through the receiver, and instantly, Wendy felt her heart swell with affection.

In that moment, she couldn’t help but feel immense gratitude for Angela. Over the past few weeks, Angela had taken it upon herself to care for Bella, allowing Wendy some much-needed space to navigate her complicated emotions.

Angela had formed a bond with Bella that was heartwarming to witness, and it brought a sense of relief to Wendy, knowing her daughter was in good hands.

“Bella, do you miss me?” Wendy asked, a smile breaking across her face.

“Yeah! I miss you and Daddy. But Grandma said you’re both really busy, so I’ve been a good girl,” Bella replied, her voice bright and cheerful.

Wendy couldn’t help but feel a rush of pride. Stanley had blessed her with such a sweet child, and it was one of the many reasons she felt fortunate to have twins on the way.

“Wow! That’s wonderful, Bella,” Wendy said warmly, her heart swelling with love. “What are you up to right now?”

“I just took a bath! Grandma’s reading me a bedtime story. I’m about to go to sleep,” Bella exclaimed, her excitement palpable even over the phone.

“Alright, then. Make sure you get some rest, sweetheart,” Wendy replied gently, picturing her little girl snuggled in bed.

Curiosity piqued, she walked closer and soon noticed a tall, familiar figure illuminated under the porch light.

“Nathan?” she exclaimed, surprise evident in her voice.

Nathan turned at the sound of her voice, a warm smile spreading across his face. “Hey, Wendy. It’s been a while,” he said, his tone relaxed and inviting.

Stanley’s old friend, Nathan, had returned to town, and memories flooded back.

Back then, Nathan had been blissfully unaware of Wendy and Stanley’s marriage, and he had developed feelings for her.

When Wendy and Stanley had come together, Nathan had left the country, and later, she learned he had entered into an arranged marriage to satisfy his family’s expectations.

Now, out of the blue, here he was, standing before her once more.

“Nathan, what brings you back here so suddenly?” Wendy inquired, her curiosity piqued.

He was dressed in a maple-colored coat that complemented his features, exuding an air of polished charm mixed with warmth. “What, you’re not happy to see me?” he teased, his smile infectious.

Wendy couldn’t suppress a laugh. It was rare for her to have friends, and Nathan was certainly one of the few she held dear.

Both Nathan and Stanley hailed from influential families, but while Stanley commanded attention with his sharp, authoritative demeanor, Nathan possessed a quiet elegance that was equally captivating.
