The Heartbreak Prescription (by Glazed Snow) novel Chapter 1060

Chapter 1060

Halsey had saved Shaun’s number as “Mr. Lane” on her phone.

Shaun was calling.

Sierra immediately perked up, listening closely.

Halsey pressed the answer button. “Hello?”

Shaun’s deep, magnetic voice came through right away. “Hey… Are you still upset?”

Halsey glanced at Sierra from the corner of her eye. She knew Sierra was eavesdropping.

A cold laugh formed in Halsey’s mind, but she forced herself to sound annoyed. “Shouldn’t I be upset?”

Shaun tried to explain. “Listen to me. Nothing happened between me and Sierra. You’ve got it all wrong!”

Halsey snapped, “If nothing happened, then why were you together?”

Shaun hesitated. “She came into my room.”

Halsey frowned. “If you hadn’t given her the chance, how could she have gotten in there?”

“I-”

Halsey cut him off. “Forget it. I don’t want to hear anything else. That’s it. I’m hanging up.”

Shaun’s voice grew urgent. “Wait! Come to the restaurant now, and I’ll explain everything in person!

Halsey shook her head. “I don’t wanna go.”

“Halsey, think about the baby. Just give me one chance to explain. Even criminals facing the death penalty get to defend themselves. You can’t just sentence me without hearing me out!” Shaun pleaded.

Halsey glanced at Sierra, noticing how intently the latter was listening. She let out a sigh and said, ” Fine. I’ll come over.”

With that, she hung up. She didn’t look at Sierra or Zada, just turned and left.

Halsey stopped him before he could say more. “Can you say something besides that?”

Shaun asked desperately, “Don’t you believe me?”

Halsey’s eyes flashed with anger. “How am I supposed to believe you? I’m six months pregnant! Are you ready to be a good husband and dad? Last night, you stayed out all night and got caught up in a scandal with Sierra, and you have the nerve to ask me if I believe you?”

Shaun sighed. “I’ve been working so hard. I just wanted you to support me and trust my character.”

Halsey’s voice trembled with frustration. “You caused a scandal with Sierra and blame me for not trusting you? What happened to you?”

Shaun pleaded again, “Please, let me explain!”

Halsey shoved him away. “Let’s break up!”

Outside the door, Zada froze. “Halsey is breaking up with Mr. Lane?!”

Sierra’s eyes lit up with excitement. She couldn’t believe it—her plan had worked. Halsey and Shaun were really going to split!

They had completely fallen apart!
