"Is that all?"

Jonas was done in no time. Xavier leaned over and saw a bunch of codes. He didn't understand what he was seeing at all.

"Yeah. It's pretty easy." Jonas lifted his head, and his skin was glowing underneath the sun.

Xavier fell into deep thought. In his mind, he finally understood why I loved Jonas but refused to take him with me.

Xavier recalled me saying that I would bring him back with me, but he thought that I hadn't meant it. I was merely worried about Xavier picking up bad habits. In his eyes, I didn't truly love him.

Xavier couldn't help himself but pinch Jonas' cheek. He exerted quite a lot of force, which left a red mark on Jonas' face. "Daddy loves excellent kids, huh?"

Jonas didn't understand what Xavier meant by that. He cocked his head and ran the question in his mind. "Probably."

Both of them were good kids. Occasionally, Xavier would get mischievous and do naughty stuff. That would rile me up, which might've been proof to Xavier that I preferred a more obedient kid.

"I'm going to become as excellent as you are, Jonas." Xavier wanted to help me as well.

Xavier steeled his mind with resolution and observed Joplin Group's development. He remembered seeing how Jared played the stock market before. He took a deep breath and cheered himself on before clicking into Joplin Group's website.

Back in Joplin Group, Murphy was reporting the latest development to me.

"Huh? Did you just say that all the news has been taken down?" I looked at him with a somewhat surprised expression as I rested my chin on my hands.

"Yeah. We have no idea what happened. Half an hour ago, all the keywords crashed, and we can't click on them either."

Did they do this? Was it Jared or Yvonne? What were they trying to achieve? Were they going to feign submission before dunking a huge bombshell?

This was weird. This was just all too weird.

I looked at Murphy and decided we couldn't let our guard down just yet. "Keep an eye on things. Did you find the news agencies that spread the news?"

"I feel the need to explain the news this time."

"Mr. Joplin, we heard that you forced your ex-wife to divorce because you wanted to get rid of her. Is that true?"

"You've already divorced her. Why did you make her leave her new partner?"

"Who is the lady who walked out of the hotel with you, Mr. Joplin?"

"Are your kids okay with the fact that you've found a stepmother for them?"

The reporters asked me a barrage of questions.

"Are you guys done talking?" I pushed the glasses on my face and looked into each of their eyes. From the looks of things, they hadn't slept for an entire night. There were dark circles beneath their eyes.

"Please don't change the topic, Mr. Joplin."
