The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 938

Timothy smiled and remarked, "Some matters are best discussed behind closed doors. It makes the conversation feel closer. Don't you agree?"

Melissa's expression changed subtly. She wasn't close to Timothy, and his words felt somewhat too intimate. However, out of respect for his position, she couldn't refute him. Hence, she simply smiled awkwardly.

"You're right, Dr. Fern."

Pointing to the chair, Timothy said, "Have a seat. Let's talk through the issue of the complaint against you. First, let me get you a cup of coffee."

He set aside the cup Brian had just used, grabbed a clean cup, placed it in front of Melissa, and poured coffee into it. After putting the coffee pot aside, he offered the cup to Melissa with a smile.

"Here, Melissa. Have some coffee."

Melissa was surprised by Timothy's gesture.

"Thank you, Dr. Fern." As she spoke, she reached out with both hands to take the cup.

However, for some reason, Timothy seemed to hand it over too quickly, and the cup directly collided with her hand. The coffee splashed out and spilled onto her hands.

She screamed in shock but soon realized the coffee wasn't too hot. Relieved, she reached for a tissue to wipe her hand. Suddenly, Timothy's large hands grasped hers and began wiping them.

Melissa hurriedly pulled her hand away. "It's fine, Dr. Fern. I can take care of it."

Timothy held her hands with a smile on his face. "I'm so sorry. It's all my fault. Let me wipe it clean for you. Your hands are so soft and delicate. I'd be heartbroken if they were burned." As he spoke, his hands kept gently rubbing hers.

Melissa sensed the situation was off and forcefully pulled her hand back. "Dr. Fern, let go of me. Don't do this. It wouldn't look good if someone saw us."

Timothy chuckled. "The door is closed. No one can see us. Melissa, regarding the patient's complaint against you, someone suggested terminating your internship. I understand how hard it was for you to get this job. I want to give you a chance, but you'll need to give me one too."
