The Great Medical Saint (Matthew) novel Chapter 931

"I wanted to appease him, but Timothy insulted me harshly, 'What do you know? The hospital is newly renovated and uses the newest facilities. Even our equipment is all the latest ones.

'You do know that this entire hospital only stays cool because of our central air conditioning, right? We need money to afford all of these things, and without it, this hospital would cease to exist. You wouldn't have been able to become a doctor if it weren't for money.'

"I never expected such a nonsensical reply from Timothy. I argued, 'We'll be earning money if we prescribe our medications just as normal too, wouldn't we?'

"At that, Timothy clenched his jaw and said, 'Are you fucking stupid? Of course, we'd be able to earn some money, but we'd only be able to live frugally. What I'm trying to do is to let the doctors here feel the blessings of working in this hospital.

'I have to make sure that they get a high income to provide for themselves. Only then, would they be able to treat their patients with a peace of mind.'

I couldn't listen to his words any further. 'There's not much of a difference between our supposed and raised salaries, is there? But I heard you bought the latest Mercedes-Benz model. Take it easy on the profits and don't go overboard, alright?'

Timothy then let out a sneer. 'I thought you were an honest person, Pierre. Who knew you'd run a background check on me? You must be looking for trouble!

'You know what? You can get the fuck outta here! You're fired! But you should also know that none of the hospitals in Lambda City will ever hire you!'

"I wanted to swear at him and retort his words, but I knew it'd be useless.

"As such, I tried my best to remain calm and pulled out my trump card. 'I'll expose you if you dare fire me. The same medications are available for a much lesser price, but you insist on selling the ones that cost 16 times more!'

"It might seem like a mere declaration to Timothy, but I was serious about what I had said. I had given it much thought before even deciding to pull out these words.

"I hadn't taken any actions previously because I didn't want to stir up a huge scene, especially since the hospital could easily pull some strings.

"I knew that the hospital director and Timothy had real connections to back them up. But I had nothing—I couldn't stir a wave even if I wanted to, because I didn't have power, influence, or any backing.

Timothy then voiced out in dissatisfaction, 'Go ahead and report me, then. I've got people to back me up anyway. Do you really think they'd give two sticks to whatever you have to say?'
