The more Cameron thought about it, the more afraid he was.
It was only then that he understood why Leopold had to spend 300 million dollars to hire Lorenzo for Matthew's murder.
Cameron had massively underestimated the matter.
The first time, he had only stopped the car for a short while before making a sudden return. He thought that he would be able to take Matthew by surprise and catch him unawares.
He never thought that he was walking into a trap instead.
If not for his quick reflexes, the car's engine still being on, the fact that he hadn't shifted gears and that he could escape just by stepping on the accelerator, he might not have made it out either.
Cameron's mind was still all jumbled up as he tapped on the GPS to take him to the front yard of a house. He stopped the car, opened the door, and exited.
Suddenly, his legs gave way under him. Cameron quickly grabbed onto the car door to steady himself. After a while, he finally was able to calm himself down slightly.
A gust of wind blew. It made a chill run over his back.
Cameron realized that a cold sweat had broken out over his back and drenched him completely. He felt like he had just escaped death.
Cameron took a deep breath and walked into the yard.
In a small building inside the yard, Dylan, the head of the Evans family respectfully served a cup of tea to Lorenzo.
"Mr. Connolly, please take some tea. We Evanses are a small family that doesn't have a place among cultivators. It's our utmost honor to have such an esteemed guest as you."
Lorenzo glanced at the tea on the table and said coolly, "I don't like tea. Do you have coffee?"
Dylan bowed shallowly as he gave him a flattering smile. "We do. I'll have someone make a cup of coffee for you."
With that, he walked to the doorway and called out in the direction of another room, "Make a cup of coffee."
After that, he turned and returned to Lorenzo. "Mr. Connolly, you must have some important business here in Lambda. The Evans family is small and weak, but if you say the word, we will put our entire family's effort into carrying out your request."
A smile appeared on Lorenzo's face. "Kill a person. Someone small and insignificant."
Dylan hesitated when he heard that murder was involved. He had angered Matthew some time ago, which had almost caused the deaths of the entire Evans family.
He didn't want his entire family to be dragged down into a cesspool again.
However, the Connolly family wasn't just any regular family. A chance to meet the future head of the Connolly family was difficult to come by.
Dylan didn't want to let this chance slip by. "Mr. Connolly, you don't have to take care of bloody matters like killing with your own hands. You can just hand off dirty work like this to us Evanses."
Cameron worried that telling the truth would scare Lorenzo away.
Lorenzo's expression became disdainful. Even though the Fuller family wasn't a martial arts family, they were still a large and rich family.
However, just one small car accident was able to frighten Cameron to this extent. It seemed like he was just another useless man.
It was undeniable that the Fuller family's genes were quite inferior.
Lorenzo was quietly grateful for the fact that his own genes originated from the Connolly family. He had always been proud of the fact that he was part of the Connolly family.
At this time, a woman walked in with a cup of coffee. The coffee's fragrance wafted through the room, giving it a rich and comfortable scent.
Dylan jogged over to receive the coffee from her. He smiled as he came before Lorenzo again and lightly placed the cup on the table. "Mr. Connolly, please enjoy your coffee."
Lorenzo took up the small spoon and gently stirred the coffee. He asked Cameron casually, "Have you found an auspicious location?"
Cameron quickly nodded. "I have. To the south of the city, beyond the Lambda bridge, there is a place in Delisnora Bay. There's a lake there with a bamboo forest beside it. It's quiet and not many people go there."
Dylan was confused. "Mr. Connolly, I'm from Lambda and know the geography around Lambda well. May I ask what you would want with such a place?"
Lorenzo raised his cup of coffee and took a sip before placing it back down. He leaned back against the chair and said coolly, "I'm going to use it for murder."
