Pat smiled. "But don't tell anyone that it's from me. Many would like to have it, and I'm risking the wrath of many just by giving it to you."
And with that, he left, while Frank unfolded the paper and saw an address.
"Lake of the Broken Star?"
Sue was surprised by the address, as it was Shagan's largest manmade lake and quite famous.
There used to be a coal mine underneath, which collapsed after excessive digging, leading to subsidence.
However, generations had since worked hard to adapt the subsidence into a man made attraction, drawing an influx of tourists and income for Shanton.
That being said, how could there be anything good hidden there? With that many people hovering, it would have been discovered already…
"Whatever the case may be, let's just check it out first."
Frank had Sue drive him since he did not know where the Lake of the Broken Star was, and they soon arrived.
Just as Sue predicted, it was filled with people!
"How are we supposed to find it now?" She snorted—even if the present was not discovered yet, the area of subsidence was so wide that it was no different from finding a needle in a haystack.
Frank, however, did not think so.
It would be difficult for most, but he was not most—not only did he have the spiritron vein's power backing him up, but finding things was easy for him anyway.
"Come with me!" he said confidently, leading Sue confidently towards a manmade hill.
She shrugged. "Makes sense. You're stronger than most, with the power of the spiritron vein backing you up, though I'm curious about how sharp your senses are."
"Everyone, listen to me. There's some official business to be done here, so please leave right away. There will be monetary compensation for everyone for the inconvenience—just add me on WhatsApp!"
Sue knew that Frank always kept his head down and did not want attention.
"What's that supposed to mean, lady? Why should we clear this place out for you? We're tourists too!"
"So what if you have money? You can't give us happiness and enjoyment! Now fuck off!"
While Sue had intended to send the tourists away with the power of money, they were soon snapping at her, clearly unmoved and even upset.
Furious, Sue strode up, ready to increase her bribe, when Frank stopped her.
He waved his hand, sending a wild burst of wind which left the shack shaking!
