Hilda smiled in wry amusement—Frank was right.
Even if they were stronger than most thanks to Frank's help, Ascendants-ranked individuals were still a challenge, and it would be more ideal to let Frank's people handle them.
"Thank you for your kindness, sir!
Hilda bowed her head at Frank, and the other nuns did the same.
While Frank appeared to be concerned for the research center, he was actually giving them freedom to continue their spiritual pursuits.
He could have further strengthened them, but he did not do it out of consideration for their sake.
Frank smiled but said nothing and called Higo Soldi as he stepped out. "Bring as many men as you can to Shagan…"

After making the arrangements, Frank was about to return inside when he heard footsteps.
Soon, a middle-aged man in a tunic suit approached him, clapping his hands. "How envious… to think that you've achieved immortality already, Mr. Frankton!"
Frank frowned. "Who are you?"
"Calm down!" The man smiled. "Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Pat Quaid!"
"Quaid?" Frank quickly remembered that Jouri Yelin's boss was a Quaid too.
Could it be…
"Ms. Fisher! You can ask her. She can vouch for me!" Pat called out, and Sue promptly stepped out, sneering when she saw who it was. "If it isn't Commissioner Quaid. What could have brought you here?"
"He's Shagan's commissioner?" Frank chuckled, as his hunch that Pat was related to Howl Quaid.
Frank nodded as Pat was right—he was no enemy, or he would have used Frank's identity as leverage.
If Sally knew he was alive and that someone could beat her underlings, she would not have attacked so recklessly.
"Fine. Tell me what you want," Frank said bluntly.
"Oh, it's nothing too serious. I just wanted to tell you that you can come to me if you have anything you need."
Pat shrugged. "Also, there's a little secret I should share—there are two lists of names. One contains white words on a black piece of paper, while the others the complete opposite. The former are individuals to be eliminated, while the latter are potential allies.
"Amusingly, you're on top of the latter list, and as our friend, we won't stop you from doing anything you want to. Naturally, you can doubt me since we've just met. It's reasonable, if anything… so I have a present for you!"
Pat then passed a folded A4-sized sheet to Frank.
