The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2180

Still, Sadie warned, "Mr. Hamm, have you considered the possibility that all of Skywyrm Guild put together wouldn't be able to beat my mentor? Quit talking big, or you'd hurt your hip."

Axel ignored her, however, and waved.

Countless archers appeared, training their crossbows at Frank while Axel gloated. "You're right. They won't win against that brat in a barehanded fight, but times have changed! Even if I'm not getting guns, this would still be enough!"

He then spread his arms loftily like a king. "All of you, kneel!"

Sadie and Ida were spooked at that, as Axel was right—no matter how good Frank was, he would be helpless against so many crossbows.

Sadie promptly shielded Frank behind herself. "Master, run!"

"Run? Where to? The best thing to do about this is to kill that geezer!" Frank chuckled, pointing at Axel fearlessly.

Axel snorted. "I must say that you're surprising me by still remaining calm—it's the first time I've met a man like you. I don't mind letting you leave a pretty corpse!"

He then waved, and his men all shot their crossbows.

Sadie and the others closed their eyes, afraid to see what would happen…

However, Frank did not move, as his hands moved so quickly that he was leaving afterimages.

At the same time, Axel's men were dropping to the floor one after the other, their bodies covered in crossbow bolts!

"Sorry, I'd like to help, but I'm not exactly on friendly terms with him."

Sally simply shrugged. "I don't mind telling you that he threatened to kill me the other day when you first met him. Hell, I didn't do anything to warrant that and was as tame as a newlywed wife, but I'm never getting away, while you obviously tried to kill him."

Axel was struck with despair and dropped to his knees with a thud, sobbing. "Please! You have to understand—I'm the chief of Skywyrm Guild! I have to regain my honor, or how else would I lead?

"Just be understanding… Let me go, and I'll help you however I can whenever you need it! Everything I have—manpower, money, and even my women—are all yours now! Please, I'm begging you!"

Against a glowering Frank, Axel had completely forgotten his shame as he kowtowed to Frank repeatedly while begging for his life.
