Sadie and Ida could not help applauding right then. "That's so cool, master!"
Earlier, they were actually worried if Frank really could beat The Plough, only for him to slice through them like a burning knife through butter.
On the other hand, Axel was terrified and turned to whisper to Sally, "You're really sharp, Ms. York… I could never have imagined that he was that amazing!"
Sally completely ignored him, however, and folded her arms before her chest as she studied her surroundings…
Farek strode up to Armless Dutton just then, not holding back as he taunted, "So, do you believe me now?"
"What are you spacing out for?! Fight!" Armless Dutton spat.
Farek was not sure if he should laugh or cry. "What am I supposed to do, boss? You're much better than I am, but he beat you anyway. I'd never win no matter how many times I try in this lifetime."
"You coward!" Armless Dutton shrieked hysterically. "Why did I even recruit you to The Plough?!"
Farek simply laughed himself silly. "I'm the one who has regrets, man! Why did I think for a second that we're the strongest? We're all just third-rate fighters who merely presumed that there's no one else in the world who could challenge us!"
Armless Dutton was left speechless, but he had definitely been too arrogant and presumed himself peerless.
Now, that notion merely appeared childish, though he still did not get it…
Frank was clearly different from them, and no more than a normal martial artist, so what made him so strong?
At his level, he should have heard of him way earlier!
Finally turning to Frank, he growled, "Who on earth are you?"
Axel clapped and laughed. "You really are brighter than the rest, but knowing what would happen after the fact is pointless!
Nearby, Farek chuckled coolly. "Listen, Mr. Hamm—you're not going to win, so just let it go!"
"Let it go?!"
Axel snarled in rage. "He's the reason this happened to my arm! And it isn't just him either. You think I'd stay my hand just because I can't touch Ms. York?! You, you, you, and you—you're all going to die! That's a pretty face you've got. You're coming with me."
He was feeling triumphant, deliberately not counting Goldilocks as he chuckled.
"Now, as for the two of you…" Then, he trailed off, staring and wondering if he should take Sadie and Ida too.
Neither woman appeared upset, however—only confused.
