The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2152

"Thanks!"

While Alda was refusing, she was really hoping that Frank would go with her.

It went without saying that she was overjoyed that he agreed to it.

Getting into a Panamera, she adjusted her seat as she blurted, "Who are you really, Mr. Frankton?"

She was really curious because he seemed at once familiar yet mysterious.

"Don't worry about it." Frank shrugged. "You just have to understand that I'm not a bad man."

Alda nodded—Frank would not harm her, and that was enough for her.

She started the car and drove home to Ingram Mansion, though they both heard a loud crash as if something was colliding with the steel gates.

They looked out to find over a dozen security guards carrying over a dozen Kawasaki H2.

Alda stopped the car and went up with Frank to see a burly man riding on one of the motorbikes, accelerating it and leaping off just before it collided with the gate, totalling it like the other wrecks around it.

"What's going on here?" Frank asked one of the security guards, whom he recognized as the man who had greeted Tigris before.

The security guard shrugged, however. "We have no idea. Just over ten minutes ago, a semi arrived with those motorbikes. They unloaded them, placing them in a row before leaving. After that, these people kept sending those bikes crashing on the gates and refused to say anything aside from demanding to see Ms. Ingram!"

"Me?!"

Alda strode up to one of the men. "Who are you? You could've just told me you wanted to see me. Why are you doing this?"

The man took off his helmet. "Oh, Ms. Ingram—you finally showed up. Someone's asking to see you and had to get your attention since your father said you were out and unreachable. I can't say much else, but I'm sure you'll understand when you see her."

"Well, where is she?" Alda asked.

Alda was grinning ear-to-ear when she recognized the woman.

Frank asked, "You two know each other?"

Alda nodded. "Hell, we were roommates back in college! But I had no idea where she went after she graduated, since she never contacted me."

Jouri Yelin appeared apologetic. "Sorry, I had to cut off all contact due to certain reasons. I came looking for you once I was done with it, but your phone's dead and you're not at home, so I had to really get your attention. Don't worry—I'll pay for the repairs of your mansion gates."

"Why did you have to cut yourself off? Wait, were you in jail?" Alda asked, curious.

"Buzz off! I'm not like you, always surrounding yourself with pretty boys!"

Alda flushed at Jouri's diss.
