The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage novel Chapter 2126

Despite Chloe's complaint, she did not actually mind.

"No touching?"

However, Frank was merely confused—he did not touch her!

"Oh, come on! I don't really mind—why can't you just own up to it?" Chloe snapped in annoyance, as she really despised people who did not admit to what they did.

That was when she suddenly felt someone touching her again.

Turning around angrily, she bellowed, "Haven't you had enough?!"

Chloe froze just as she finished.

Instead of Frank's devastatingly handsome face, she found herself staring at a dried up corpse.

It had emerged out of a freezer that was left ajar and was clawing toward Choloe!

Still, Frank heard the commotion at the very last moment and leapt up to kick the corpse on the floor.

Keeping it pinned under his foot, he snapped at Lara and Chloe, "Run!"

Lara was petrified, but she came to her senses and pulled Chloe along as she ran.

"This one isn't breathing either!"

Frank then punched the corpse, but as his ring inadvertently touched it, it absorbed a strand of golden light.

The corpse, which struggled against Frank's foot, stopped moving, while the lights returned.

Frank then saw that the corpse had actually rotted despite being frozen, and it appeared to be a man.

It was strange, but Frank could understand the principle now after some observation.

Leo had told him that he was sent to this clinic two nights ago, but when Frank looked, the footage of the morgue around that time was already deleted!

Frank did not give up, and checked the footage of the entrances, and found something—at 7.12 PM, someone was carrying a body bag and sneaking out the back.

Frank was about to keep tracking them when another person appeared in view.

It was a baby-faced young woman, waving her hands at the camera as if to catch someone's attention.

Then, she raised a sign that read: Whitney Chandler's mansion, Chandlerton.

Frank was shocked.

Why was this happening? Was Whitney somehow connected to all of this? And why was that mysterious woman throwing hints at him?

Still, he said, "Lara, you stay here and check the cameras—find out where she's gone. I'm going to Chandlerton."
